Yeah dunno why I didn't think it was a problem sooner!! Guess I always thought I'd get yet another consolidation loan and be ok
Exactly, I got used to managing the debt so that investing another 4000 pounds or so from a credit card co. became the norm. as I knew, or so I thought, I could make money on the stock market. One share is actually beginning to move towards serious profit now but the disadvantage of investing is that things usually take a lot longer than you think. It is a real strain on your patience especially when you need money to clear debt. It is also very easy to get used to transferring a balance or even just enough to pay a min.0 -
Hi,
After lurking on this site for ages, have decided to join everyone here.
After a couple of dire and miserable months financially, I have contacted CCCs, and am setting up a DMP, to finally get some control over our situation.
Excluding our mortgage, we have £20k of debt to clear.
I need someone to hold my hand and tell me it's going to be ok!!
Thanks0 -
Its going to be OK!
Loads of us on here are in the same boat and its on the whole a damn site easier than the struggling its also nice to know each month that goes by we owe a little less in the world!0 -
Hi can I join in? I've just set up a DMP with Payplan. They've taken all my details and my case mentor (can't remember what thats called) is calling me next week to sort out how to set up my S/O.
I start paying to payplan on August 27th.
I owe £31,844 and will be paying £430 a month on the DMP. I'm hoping to be debt free in 6 years - October 2013 - roll on!!
I'm scared stiff at the thought of having no money - although in reality I already have no money. It's funny how our brains work isn't it.
I'm going for an interview at a pub on Saturday for a 2nd job to help with pin money. I already work over 40hrs a week, have 2 dogs and a horse to look after so am expecting to be even more exhausted doing a couple of pub shifts a week, but never mind.
I've put some ads on adtrader for some bits and pieces that we don't need so hopefully that should help raise a bit of money.
Its great having a place like this where we can chat to other people in similar situations.0 -
hi all,
welcome nightforest and knotty.you are among friends here.been quiet lately cos it seems to calm down abit when the dmps kick in, but feel free to ask questions or moan or just pass the time of day.
weather here is abit uncertain so keeping watch cos put a line of washing out and hate to use the tumble drier....cos im a tight wad....having watched the leccy meter whizz round before now :rotfl: and always seem better in the fresh air.
charlie(my great dane) is in the doghouse,,cos he has just decided to start digging up the lawn, which you can imagine leaves a substantial hole ,cos hes 6ft 6ins whn he jumps up and 15 st at the last worried vets appointment(yes we do try to make him diet:rotfl: )so when he digs its like a jcb.have checked for bones, etc but think hes taking the mick now:D he has tried the puppy dog eyes and the "wasnt me, was another dog!" tack but the soiled paws kind of gave him away:rotfl: so hes on a warning:eek:
take care all, ttfn
love ilgd(well thats a bit debatable today!!!) xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Greetings all .
Welcome to NightForest and Knotty 29. Well done on your Dmp's and Knotty i did post a reply with a link on your thread but having just got up from nights it did not really work. Glad you found your way here.
Well the weather down here is absoloutly splendiferous(Spelling?). Golf is on the Tv and hopefully i will be able to catch most of it up till Sunday without getting nagged at :rotfl: . No real post to report and all going well on the Dmp. Interest stopped on most of them so i can see the balance reducing.
NightForest and Knotty29 you have all this to come. There will be ups and downs and laughter and the occasional little setback but whatever the time of day or night feel free to post and winge/rant and share you glee with us. I can tell you now if it were not for this thread it would have been in deep doggy doo doo.
welcome to you both
