Quick read through posts and i can say i am glad Nat west and HSBC are not one of mine. For those of you that have to deal with them. Good luck and do not pay them anymore than you can afford or have agreed with CCCS/Payplan etc. Gemmzie. Good news about EGG. They are one of mine and so far have been really good.
Well I have not spent my time wastefully today. I have set out a 4 week menu planner on Excell. Colour coded so that i know what week i will be having the 'Blue' menu etc. I have varied the meals so that i do not duplicate to often in the month and most days when i have veg etc it is followed by chips and comfort food. I have also done the same for the kids as they do not always eat the same as us. God i sound like a right geek :rotfl: . Love my Excell, love my charts and i love my DFW lifestyle.
I have worked out a total of 56 meals and the way i did this was to go on the Menu planner thread to get ideas. Any meals that took my fancy i copied and pasted onto a word document and have a total of over 80 meals in my database to call on. If i was reading this i would think whoever posted this is a right know it all(T**t) as uknow me and the road i have come along i thought i would share some of my progress(Are you taking notes Smiley:rotfl: )
Ta Ta for now and speak soon.

Ha ha ha, I'm still laughing @ YM - loving the Excel planning! I became a bit of an Excel wizz through my previous job and don't use it much now I'm teaching, so I may have to dust of the old manual
On a serious note though, well done YM, you keep us all motivated. Keep it my Meal Planning Master
(Better than being a master-baker... geddit?!)
Teecee my lovely, any news?
Sorry to hear about all the HSBC and Natwest nightmares. You guys are doing so well dealing with them :T
Anyway, it's half eight and I'm just on for school, must go and make a (admittedly unplanned) meal.
Speak soon,

Hello all. Hope you are well!
I havent posted on here for a few months but i've a couple of questions I hope someone can answer for me?
Me and my house mate want to move to another rented property at the end of September, will me being on a DMP affect this as i'm sure they do a credit check on you?!
My second one is; my first payment was taken out 01/07. Payplan have sent an offer of payments to my creditors, they said it could take up to a month for them to accept. What happens to my money in the meantime? Is it in "storage" so to speak until my creditors accept their payments?
And how long is it till the baliffs come a'knockin?! I'm sh*t scared of this happening!!
Thanks

Hi Loubie, with CCCS i made the first payment on the 1st July, they pay out regardless of whether the creditor accepts or not on the 25th, CCCS obviously just get the 24 days interest to help fund them as they are a charity which I think is more than fair for what they do for us
Hope this makes senseDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
Lou, usually baliffs are the last resort for unsecured debt, they always threaten this but just scare tactics, if you are making efforts to pay the debts it is unlikely they will take u to court for a CCJ as the judge will just look at the budget u already done with payplan and just think they are wasting the courts time, if you did get a CCJ and then still did not pay then potentially u could get the baliffs but usually if you stick to the agreed payment plan you might at worst get a default but im really not bothered about that as the last thing i want now or in the future is more credit.Dmp Mutual Support thread member No 820

If you are renting privately they will do a credit check (assuming you are talking about renting privately), it is possible to get someone to stand guarantor for you but depends if someone will actually do that for you.0

Thanks for your replies so far......
I will be renting privately. My dad will probably stand as a guarantor if i need him too. Just wondering my housemate has a few defaults and she passed her credit check fine when we lived together before! Oh well will just have to see what happens when we apply for the tennancy!
Thanks xxIn debt no more!0 -
I used to work in estate agents and credit checks and the pass and fail were hard work! One of the biggest impacts was how much credit you had available - so all your credit limits and the theory of you could go out in one day and spend a fortune that would impact badly on your credit rating.
Best thing is to be up front we used to appreciate it and say you could fail if you do you have your father who will stand guarantor - ask them if you have to pay any set up costs though as if you do it could be worthwhile just going for your Dad and paying once.0 -
Morning all. Having just read the credit reference agency poll I have just decided to be brave and send off for my £2 reports (as I know I'd forget to cancel any online option before the end of the free period).
Thought that it would be interesting to see how much of an effect the DMP has had now that I've been on it for 3 months
Expecting, late payment notes and at least one default but will be interesting to see what else is there
Really and truly though, I think I am missing all the post I used to get - hardly get any letters these days and no phone calls at allworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
