    Hi all
Hope everyone is well and having a good time with their dmps.
    Hi to all the newbies.
Sorry I haven't been around much I have been having a rough time with things had some bad news regarding my health, although the gp new all along what was wrong, so I have been feeling really down in the dumps fed up with feeling so rough all the time, never mind I'll just keep taking the tablets!!!

Rayday well done on all your good news!
Ilgd well done on your diy before I got ill I done all my own diy it is a great feeling knowing that you have done it yourself, When I tiled the bathroom I kept going in there to check the tiles were still on the wall :rotfl:
Smilealot Good luck with what you decide to do I am sure you will make the right decision hun.

Had a letter off mercers saying that unless I pay the full amount they are going to pass it on to another dca, I have to ring the CAb tomorrow because the guy there said he was going to write to them, for once I am not to worried about this.
    Love to you all

    Hello smiley.

Wondered where you were as we had not heard your scottish accent on here for ages :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

My advice to you is - Start afresh - Do not go through life regretting something that you wish you had done. You will only look back and be angry with yourself.

valley's girl. Sorry to hear you are not feeling to good at the moment. Hope it all sorts itself out for you in the end.

Just a quick line as i am at work and loads to do but thought i would pop in and say Hello.

    Hi Everyone :D

Hello to all our new friends :hello: Hope you are all well and everything is fine.
Haven't been on for what seems like ages, but I have been following the thread from the sidelines. Like smilealot I think I was getting a bit down at the prospect of 10 years of DMP payments and it all got a bit much for a while. I feel a bit more positive at the moment and am trying really hard to regain my positive mental attitude:rotfl:

smile - I say go for it!!!, as you know I have had first hand experience of realising that life is way to short to spend doing things that don't make you happy. Live your dream and don't settle for "good enough". We only regret the things we don't do!!!

Ida - Well done on the not smoking "nuff respect!!!" you go girl:T :T

Valleys Girl - Really sorry to hear your health is not good. Look after yourself and try not to worry:grouphug:

YM-Hope your tooth (or lack of it) feels better.

ilgd - Well done with the DIY! Bet you're really chuffed it worked out so well.:j :j

This has turned into a marathon post but I've really missed all my friends on here, it took me a while to realise that when I'm down this is exactly where I need to be, not avoiding it but talking to you all.

    Take Care everyone xx:o

Just thought I would pop in to say morning everyone. Nothing to report apart from the fact that we have a number of acceptances and a small no. of refusals although they can change apparently. Have caught up with all the posts. Commiserations to those of you feeling blue esp. rayday.
  • Hi all

Made my first DMP payment on Friday and DD now set up to pay on 10th of each month. Actually was quite a good feeling and finally feel like I am doing something.

After barrage of letters and default from Barclays when got back from hols
it has gone quiet from my creditors. Wrote to Barclays acknowledging and telling them that could not pay off either of my debts with them in full at this time, and that although they had refused my DMP offer I would be making the payment anyway as requested in their letters.

Had good weekend...at a youth football tournament with my team on Saturday and then went to Canterbury to watch the Tour De France on Sunday. Great event.

    Hope everyone ok

Glad you feel better Pompey it does feel better to tackle things rather than hope they go away!

Dr Jekyll its a good sign when they start accepting at least you can tell those that haven't that some have, most the time those that don't accept sell them on to DCA and DCA are far more willing to accept payments - so fingers crossed yours will sort themselves out then you are at the point when you can just send payments and know your balances are falling.

When I feel really fed up I just think each month that goes by I am paying more and more off what I owe in the world. But I am incredibly sad :D
