95kelly - can't you get anyone to stand guarantor to rent? Most landlords can purchase an insurance policy these days that protect them against people not paying. I worked in an estate agents a couple of years ago not sure if things have changed but loads of people failed the checks and had guarantors - basically the guarantor has the credit check done and so long as you always pay its fine - like I said if landlords have the insurance policy they don't get stung anyway. And if your debts are due to low income you could get some rent help from your local council. Not sure if anyone of that helps.
Sorry you feel so down, debt does sometimes feel like a treadmill you get nowhere - but you have to plod on and keep paying because one day you will fly off the end of the treadmill!
Hope the future days bring some kind of light to your housing issues!0 -
hi all,
big hugs, kelly.did you ring your dmp comp for advice?cccs say they can put peeps in touch with mortgage comps that specialize in poor cred history, so give that a try, or ring cccs anyway, if you are with them or not.
thought it was too good to be true!!had default from citi cards today....pay £118 by 17th(as if!!).foned them as they had agreed to the cccs offer in april but she said that loads of defaults had been issued lately and my debt would go to an external dca,(wonder who ill get...be someone great ,i bet!).on default it mentioned court but she said its a standard letter and was nice but felt cheated somehow, iykwim?they shouldnt lead you on by accepting the offer then another dept does something different and they know theres nowt you can do about it.talk about kick you when you are down.surely they realise that if you had the arrears money you would pay it and its cos you have no dosh you cant pay.theres logic somewhere in there(not).
dont get me started!!! so enough......take care, all.kind regards, ilgd xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Hi there! I am about to enter into a DMP. I qualify with both Gregory Pennington and CCCS. Do you guys have any experience with either as I am not sure which one to go for....the CCCS seems to be the one I am leaning toward due to the lack of fees and charges....

Hi brisbane. I have just replied on your other thread
I think you should add up how long your DMP will likely last and how much fees you are likely to pay GP in the long term. Then work out how much faster you could be debt free if that money went to your debtsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi all
Somewhat quiet at the moment after the Lloyds convo with the arrogant !!!!!! last week! Paid my first installment to CSSC and actually felt relieved that it was starting. Still had no word of any of the creditors to say if they accept my offer through my DMP or not.
Feeling pretty down at the moment! Thinking is it all worth it! What difference would a CCJ make as I won't get credit again anyway! Also the bank are to raise interest rates again so increase on mortgage! All doom and gloom!
On a positive note the new bank account is up and running so wages will be paid into that account this month! My mortgage break ends in August so I need to be up and running for the start of that again. I find myself looking at my expeniture and income and looking at different ways to cut it down further but done everything I can in the way of that.
Anyone give us 6 numbers for Saturdays lottery? Winning numbers only
Keep the faith!

bolton....at least with the ccj they will only get what the judge says and he usually agrees with your dmp offer......and they cant hassle you any more but always rem to pay each month.dont think ccjs are looked on as badly as they were due to the increase in peeps going bankrupt.i got one in 1997 which im still paying and i got credit while it was on my file so peeps must have loads, iykwim.People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with
