    hi all,
just a quick call.its very quiet re the debts so will be thankful.
have just re- siliconed the bath, which i must say, i have done a good job of(mainly cos no one else will!!!).....but the true test will be in a couple of days when shower is used, cos i put one of those self stick strips round and it was cr*p and water was running down the outside wall.we thought it was the guttering cos of all the rain (bout time ym had some down souf!!!lol xx)
anway, i digress,....stood outside and turned on shower and came pouring down so if i want a job doin.....do it myself!!so we will see if im a master diyer or not.
re the floods.....i still cant believe that the water hasnt gone down in the village near me(near doncaster).think they are praying for an earthquake so the ground will open up and swallow it all(just joking, i know i shouldnt).they all think the peeps at the top have had the water diverted from the town centre for the businesses cos its never been flooded before and it just wont recede.
forgot to say welcome to the new posters ive missed and hope everyone is doing ok.
i have got loads done while the aol was down and seems to be going to pot again.just shows you how addictive this site can be and how hard it is to catch up when you have been away.must take myself in hand and seek medical help!!!!
must away now.kind regards, ilgd xx

I hope while you siliconed you did it with a full bath - that makes the bath the heaviest and stops movement - apparently - she says being a Youth Worker lol

No letters today, yesterday had a debt from 7 years ago sold on with only a year left to go - stupid *** and they reckon the balance is different not a chance!

I thought they could sell it, can chase you up for it but if they have had no payment or acknowledgement from you for 6 years they cannot take it to court or get a CCJ.

  • Afternoon to all my old and new friends,

Quiet today with the DMP post and phone calls.

Can i Spout off pleaseeeeeeeeeee ?

Tax credit - Every year we always have to appeal because IR always get our award wrong! Yet again we had to do it again this year. They rang Hubby up last week to say they have corrected our award in favour of us.She said that it was all sorted,as if. Had mystery amount put in my account yesterday,it wasen't till today when we recieved our new award from them. They have taken £180 off us each month (we have 5 children) !!!
Gonna have to wait till hubby gets up as the appeal was done in his name, and she would'nt speak to me last week?

sorry i'm so mad,it was only yesterday hubby increased our amount we pay to Payplan.

Hi all, havent been on for ages and ages!!! So i hope you are all ok, sorry havent had time to catch up on all the posts!!!!
Just needed a chat as im feeling very very down at the moment and i know you all cheer me up!!
Been looking for a house and found a great one, with a 50% shared ownership.
Applied for a mortgage with a few banks and have been turned down every time. I just don't know what to do, i can't rent as they also credit check and wouldn't give me or the BF the time of day. I just don't see the point in paying anything anymore as its never going to make a difference and still got 11 years to go, so i might get a house by the time im 33.
also moneyshop won't accept my offer and now are talking about CCJ and stuff so thats just going to make my credit even worse.
    Thanks for reading my moan!!!!
    Love Kelly x

Hi kelly, sorry can't help over the mortgage thing but I think on one of the forums here there has been advice on companies will lend to those with less than favourable credit ratings ;)

  • Hi all
Sorry to here about your troubles 95kelly, good to hear from you though! Its so frustrating when it feels no one will give us a break because of a bad history. Especially when you hear of people doing far worse everyday and getting away with it!!

After my success with charges from HSBC, I though Abbey would just follow suit, no such luck .... just got a letter today saying their charges all fair et,etc so just waiting for advice on the bank charges forum and then it looks like I'll be doing an mcol. Bummer. But I don't intend giving it up its worth more than £1,000 with interest!

Still no fags but this is definately my worse time of day and boy would I love one - but I don't intend to have one.

    Love and hugs all

I have been paying regularly what pees me off though is that I wrote and said look we can settle this in 10 months I will increase payments to £21.20 - which they accepted.

Turns out they accepted that back in April and the letter I got said that they sold the debt in March and this is the first I heard of it! And one payment seems to have gone astray so I refuse to pay until they find that payment and then pay to the new company.

It just seems stupid from there point of view selling it when they would have had all the money within the year! Guess these DCA don't do common sense!
