Hi there,
Can any of you help me with this query. I am in the process of starting my DMP with CCCS, they have had all my paperwork and I thought I would be starting my DMP at the beginning of July but I hadn't yet received my welcome pack so called them on Fri. The lady I spoke to wasn't particularly helpful but seemed to suggest a Welcome Pack had been requested/ordered on June 26th but not yet sent out which she seemed to blame on the postal strike on Fri. As I haven't yet received the payment instructions etc does this mean I won't be able to start my DMP in July as it will be a few days after the 1st when I receive the paperwork. If so I am in a real panic as I told all my creditors that I would be starting the DMP this month and if I have to wait until 1st Aug to start then the creditors won't receive their 1st payment until 25th Aug! I only sent small goodwill token payments when advising them about the DMP with CCCS.
I can't speak to CCCS as they are not open until Mon and it says on the letter that their hours are 8-5pm and I won't be able to call from work on Monday. Can anyone share their experiences of the start of the DMP and how it all works as I am not feeling very confident in CCCS after my less than reassuring phonecall on Friday.
Thanks for any advice or encouragement!
PS one last thing is that I received a default from Egg today saying that the whole of my loan will be due to be repaid if I don't pay my overdue monthly payment by 24th July, if they call in the whole loan what will happen when I can't pay???0 -
Hi ireneh welcome you're in the right place for sound advice and support. Firstly don't panic, dmp's take a little while to sort out and its likely now that your first payment will go to CCCS on 1st August, in the meantime use the template letter again (from CCCS website) and advice your debtors of the preparations for the dmp and include a payment that matches the dmp proposals and your cccs ref no if you have it. The people you owe will probably shout loudly and threaten loads but are unlikely to do anything in the immediate future. You don't have to answer their calls, if you have caller id just answer the no's you recognise or answer advise them of dmp give your ref no and don't get drawn into a conversation.
Hope this helps and isn't all too confusing??
Take care.

hi
in answer to your question irene, i received my welcome pack from cccs on the 31st may and i paid then on the 5th June so could still be time for your first payment to be made to them. Also cccs are open until 6pm mon-fri if this helps. I have always had good response from them by phone though i must admit. Hopefully you might receive the details soon to be able to pay in July. (they told me as long as they have this by the 10th of the month its okay.)
Also as you have made token payments just explain to creditors you are dealing with cccs and they will be hearing shortly from them about the plan.
I know its easy to say not to worry but it does get better i am just paying second payment to them on Monday so still early days for me too.
Loads of good advice on these boards.
take care
and good luck with dmp0 -
Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply, both responses have made me feel much better this evening!
Thanks again0 -
Hi
Went to Lidl today to have a browse and find a few bits. I can across something that i thought had died. Customer care. Now i have one of them trolley tokens but it did not fit in the trolley. One of the staff there lent me a pound for the trolley :T :T :T . How good is that. Restores my faith in my fellow man/person.

PS. I did return the coin.0 -

Hi me again.
Just hung out the washing. Can anyone tell me why with trousers and tops the arms are either inside out or one is and one is not and with trousers they always have something in the pockets:rotfl:
Woke up with a massive toothache today. The pain is worse than man flu :rotfl: . Taken an aspirin disolved on offending molar and feels better at the moment. May be time to take advantage of the allowence i have in my budget for dentist(£0):o .
Going to put roast on shortly followed by a hot wash for my towel's. At least they will not be inside out :rotfl: .The towel's are not a side dish with my roast by the way:rotfl:
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday and am going to settle down for the Diana concert this afternoon.
Take care
