Well how refreshing to come on here and read all these kindly posts from you all. Considering we are all in a mess with stress and worry it is a credit to everyone that we can think about others and actually help others even if it is only the odd post. It makes me feel very humble and I am sending a big hug to all of you including Yellow Monkey from Mr Hyde.

Sorry to here about the car and laptop problems. We had to buy a new computer recently but at least they are very cheap nowadays. Ours had started to shut off instantly when it felt like it. We didn't lose much fortunately which was lucky. It does pay to back up if you can.

Anyway, have a good day with no post and ph. calls. from undesirables like banks :)

  • Morning all :)

    Another lovely day.
Postie been early I have had a letter from barclays saying that they will not accept my offer of payment and want more what a joke!!
Anyway barclays are going to cotact mercers to issue me a default notice, it looks like I will get a default with littewoods too.
I was lucky that the 5 others agreed to my payments, contacted nationaldebtline and they said treat mercers the same send them my budget sheet showing how much I can pay, and don't contact them by phone only letter.
So have to wait and see what happens.

Scottishmummy sorry about the car it is a pain being without them good luck for the job today
    Smilealot
    glad you fixed your laptop!
    Have a good day all

    Hi everyone.

I phoned Barclaycard last night and my account is now being dealt with by Mercers. I phoned Mercers to see if they have accepted payments but have got to ring back today to speak to someone in their recovery dept. I must say I found the lady at Mercers very nice - hope all their staff are that nice. :j

Also phoned Capital One and was told they had agreed my payments and sent a letter to CCCS. Apparently they will deal directly with CCCS from now on. :j

I have got some more stuff ending on Ebay tonight so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get lots of bids. My Ebay sales seem to be lower this time. It could just be that I am more money conscious nowadays!!

    hi all,
    just reading throu.
smile.....glad you are back.missed a good party at our new house!

hope everyones good.postie bought bir/midshires letter apologising for the delay.had to explain to DH what i was up to and he said that if we get any money back we can pay the car tax with it.i thought no way ,we will share it so its fair, but im not telling him til i know how much ,if any dosh we get back.may be a little white lie(i know it sounds awful and childish but im doing all the ground work and seeing nowt for it.hope he doesnt read my posts or the **** will hit the fan again!)
watched whistleblower last nite and sky+ ed the driving badly thing on itv.glad i saw the beeb thing on the supermarkets.thats me off ready meals, hot chicken counters and chicken products, fresh meat and fish and deli products from supermarkets for life.fancy tesco covering fresh meat for a week every night with the same bin liner.knew they were skint but that takes the bisuit!!!

on a sep note,i too, am sometimes confused which gender ,people are when you are talking to them on the threads.iykwim.only realised a few days ago that YM wasnt a woman but has a very good feminine side.please dont take offence at that remark cos i dont intend any.sometimes the usernames are unisex and you naturally assume people are female when they are male and vise versa.or is it just me who is strange and deeply troubled(lol)
anyway great danes daily essay is coming to an end and wil love you and leave you all(dont all cheer at once!!)
take care and see yuo ron. regards,xx
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

    LOVE ME, LOVE MY NEWFOUNDLAND.:A

ilgd:- I too get confused! I thought YM was a woman until a few days ago. Didn't watch the programme on supermarkets and am kinda glad I didn't because it would put me off food for life (saying that at least I would lose weight and spend less!!!).
