Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges article discussion Part II

If you plan ahead so effectively, why are you on here asking for help to get back £25 you admit was your own fault, and people must be stupid to get charged? By your own basis, your stupid, and deserve to be docked £25 because you have to pay money back. Some people end up in a snowball of charges. I got divorced a few years back and suddenly had to pay a mortgae on my own, and all the bills from one income. I didn't have enough, the bank wouldn't help and I ended up bouncing bills. If i'm charged £100 in a month, then I earn the same amount next month, but i've £100 less. Guess what I get charged another £100 in fee's so now i'm already £200 down in 2 months. Life's a !!!!! sometimes and things happen out of your control. Look at your situation. Was it your fault your loan came in late? No? So does that make it right the bank charges you £25? If it does, than you shouldn't be asking to get it back, if it isn't right, then go for it, but don't be rude to people on here then expect helpWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0

haha! it wasnt actually my fault, my student loan was delayed by my lea and this was an unexpected event.0

And yet you still ended up with a charge. Does that mean you had spent right up to your last penny? Very good financial management eh?
Now I suggest you grow up, stop being hypocritical and learn how to behave.Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -
no but not being able to pay morgage is different cos its a case of your situation not being able to afford to pay. You could have switched to a cheaper house/flat etc.0

And your experience of how these things work is based on... what?Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -

We all have unexpected events. Thats the whole point of this exercise. People shouldn't have to be penalised due to unexpected events. Or banks certainly should not profit from this. What makes you so special that you are entitled to your £25 yet everyone else is stupid?Wage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -

Well of course, I could just sell my house in a week! Are you really that stupid? You obviously have no idea how the financial world works. Not that its any of your business, but i was tied to my mortgage, meaning huge penalties if I sold, and house sales take months, even if a buyer can be found straight away. Couldn't you of had some savings so you didn't go overdrawn? Your a hypocrite alright and not doing a good job at making friends on hereWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0 -
obviously because uv been through it your going to defend yourself which is fair enough but i wouldnt let it escalate to such a level if i knew of it and alot of people on this thread are in trouble cos of their own spending etc. Your situation is unique but im sure its not the case with others.0

Received £492
Phoned and asked for statements of this closed account. (had been via the debt collectors too) oops!!
They sent me a summary of transactions free of charge within 5 days of the call.
I sent letter one asking for a refund, and low and behold, 7 days later got an offer of settlement as above!!!
I think that as I caused them pain, the account is closed and they have responded so quicly, I'll accept the amount.
Waiting for Nationwide to defend MCOL at the moment, pity they aren't as easy as Cap 1!!!
