Hi i received a list of my charges today im unsure what you can claim foris it just the unpaid fees or can you also claim the interest charges as well (the ones they charge for using your overdraft ) and do i have to list each charge on the letter or can i just do a total

    BANK: HSBC
CLAIMED £1,057 plus interest, as calculated using the tool on Martin's site.
    RECEIVED £1,057.

They left every response carefully to the last possible day but paid up, putting the money directly into my account. They refused to pay interest but I didn't push it. It would have been a bonus. Happy to have got five years' worth of charges back.

You'll find a list of what you can claim and can't claim along with a basic start guide in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

and no, you can't claim normal interest charges

This was exactly what happened to me with Natwest, they say an offer is out here there and everywhere and nothing actually appeared. I still had to take them to a MCOL case and then they paid up. If its not in writing its not an offer, my advice would be stick to your deadlines. Call 08453030456, i found them to be honest helpful and courteous. Hope this is of use .

Thanks.Have now found out the hard way......still waiting and now told on phone it could take up to 8 weeks to get the letter

When you get out of school and the real world hits you in the butt you'll understand.

And yet in another thread you are asking advice from these 'stupid' people, because your too lazy to work it out for yourself and go see your bank over your £25 fine. Doesn't say a lot for you, does it? You obviously haven't taken in anything that is on here, or tried to understand the situation that some people are in. I hope you don't ever have a real issue in life, and people call you an idiot. This thread is for people looking for advice, or people answering questions, or just giving advice of their own. Your comments are unhelpful, and display your imaturity

lol iv already spoke to my bank and they didnt do anything which is why i asked. I understand sometimes people get desperate but theres always better ways than incuring so much debt, if you effectively plan ahead not spend outa ur means etc, in which case its your own fault.

Here speaketh the fount of all knowledge? And your financial management is so good you still manage to incur a charge. I wonder how good it will be when you have a mortgage, wife, kids etc.

Just a quick tip, when summoning up all your energy to write the letter complaining of your £25 charge... don't write it in text speak.
