Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges article discussion Part II

I've just been charged £51.54 by Abbey for going £2.47 over my overdraft limit for two days!
£25 monthly overlimit fee
£25 paying out a direct debit that took me over the limt
£1.54 interest on the £2.47 (2 days)
Does anyone else think this is unfair???
If they had have bounced my direct debit instead, I would only have had one fee for that, £25 !0 -

I would have thought that a DMP (and subsequently basic bank account with no credit facilities) would have been one of the better examples. I'm sure that there's people here who have claimed hardship have been on DMP's?0

Which my Dear son did (He has been great) So rang bank on thurs was told to come in today at 11 (was worrying myself sick all weekend about what would happen) Dear son came with me this morning and did all the talking and i have to say the young bank manager was so nice a great we girl. She talk over everything and said the the file my dear son did up would be such a help as it mead her job easyer. She looked at everything and said its not up to her but from what she could see from the file D.S did she feels i will get a refund. She also said the bank of ire does not give full refunds out but as my case was so bad she feels this is what they might do. Hi,
I am new to all of this so am a bit stuck! I got charged £63 by my bank for going over my overdraft by £6 for 24 hours. How can they justify charging me that much money for a little mistake??!! I am so angry. Is that the type of thing I can try claim back, or will i just have to accept it? How the hell did it cost them sixty quid for me to go over by so little?!0 -
If its the frist time they have charged you i would try ringing and asking for it back. Its worked for others on here. If the charges are on going then you would need to do a claim useing the temp letters on the site here09 Wins= 5 Rugby balls, 3 Football. A cricket ball. 6 Books. Can someone please help...
I have claimed financial hardship nearly 3 weeks ago but have still not heard back. I know I am hardship but will this mean I will get my money back?
I am trying to claim over £900 in charges and interest and really need it as owe so much money to my landlord, friends and family who keep having to help me out.

I sent in the formal application on February 7th. I heard very little for several weeks (just an acknowledgment that they had received the application) and in March I began pestering them with more letters, and finally phone calls. It was the phone calls that seemed to drive things forward, although I do believe a letter from NatWest itself (a different department) demanding full satisfaction of my overdraft helped a lot!
There was one woman in particular who rang me up three times to let me know that it had been approved. There was some kind of misunderstanding within the bank; a week ago they sent me a letter saying the claim had been declined, but when I called to ask what was gong on the nice lade said it wasn't true, it had indeed been approved. The offer arrived yesterday, March 24th. So approximatelty six weeks in all.
So there is hope for me then.
Sent hardship form 3 weeks ago, have heard nothing.
Should I write to them again?
