Hi to anyone who's up!
l got up early as im angry with nationwide. At the mo we're struggling financially which they know about as we have kept them informed. They were being reasonable and stopped the charges on our joint account, but last month we had as usual our WFTC (£199) paid in so the council tax could be paid and they nicked it out in charges (£150.00), which took us over our od limit of £2000.0, they then decided to reduce our OD to £1000.00, they know were not in a position to do this at the present time. Today the WFTC went in as usual and l tried to transfer £100 in to different account so l can pay the already behind council tax, but they wont let me take it out obviously they're keeping it to reduce OD .
They actually owe us £4555.00 in charges and as they were being ok we were'nt going to claim BUT boy are they gonna get it now!!
Sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest!!
Any support greatly received

Can you still try to reclaim if the bank account is now closed? And if you are not in hardship? I am a bit skint but dont think that counts lol!0

Yet another enquiry in relation to reclaiming bank charges. My father reckons that over the past four or five years, he's been charged a rather significant amount in unauthorised overdraft fees and so forth. With no payments or claims currently being processed at the moment due to the suspension several months ago, is it still possible to put in a new query, even if it has to "sit on the pile"?0

Yes, as l believe it the quicker the get in your claim the better ,as you can go back 6 six years, lt wont be dealt with until the OFT decision but when its sorted you'll get back from the date your claims dated. Unless your suffering financial hardship then its possible they'll look at it sooner.0 -
I would like to chase up my charges but my loans have been turned into debt and have been passed on to a 3rd party debt agency who are now dealing with me, who do I write to, to reclaim charges? or am I not allowed?0

Hello All,
can I claim the money back from being overdrawn to the amount of £10. Barclays has now charged me £22 for this, and it was the first time I have done this...
I have lodged a complaint by telephone with Barclays and was sent a letter today, stating that they will not refund.
What can I do next?
thanks0 -

You chase the charges from the original source of the money i.e. the bank you took the loan out with! I was in the same boat as you but now have no debts at all! Good luck.0 -
england v scotland
hi i'm claiming back bank charges for the girlfriend
she used to live in england and got some charges between jan 03 and mar 03 amounting to £90, she was also charged £30 in aug 04 when she was living in scotland. she now lives in scotland (bare with me here), so i want to get the most money back i can, but if i put our current address (scotland) would i only be able to claim £30.
BUT her mum lives in england (a different address to when she was charged) but she could send correspondance through this address to max out the money she gets back. can she do this? would it cause problems further down the line with court appearances etc (her folks live 3.5 hrs away)?
any help greatly appreciated folks

Can anyone tell me, I've managed to have charges refunded by phoning my local RBS branch in the past, but when I phoned them today, they said they wouldn't refund a recent charge for an unpaid direct debit. The reason they gave was that I'd had charges refunded in the past? Is this true, or are they chancing their arm?0
