:T :j Good news!!! Financial hardship cases, I received £3150
today From Halifax/Bank of Scotland. Yippee !!!!
DONT GIVE UP GUYS....................
Congratulations!!! That's an excellent result. Just as a matter of interest, what do they define as a hardship case, as it seems to be a bit hit and miss to me0 -
Okay, i've been reading this site for over 2 hours now, and i still don't know where to start.
I received my statements back today, and i have had £660 of charges from Barclays - but only £415 has not been already refunded (i usually phone and plead with them when i get a charge).
Can i claim the full £415 back?
Is the only way to get your money back by claiming financial hardship? If so, what do they consider to be hardship?
Where are the templates? I am likely to have to go to court for this amount?
Thanks - Pia0 -
Is it possible to reclaim my bank charges from the woolwich?
As it has now changed to Barclays and thats what all my banking is done under now.
I've filled in the form asking for my 6 years of statements then got to the addressing of the letter and got stuck.
Do i post to woolwich under the clacton address or send it straight to Barclays.
Any help would be great as i have a bee in my bonnet now and i want my money back!
Many thanks all:rotfl: :mad:0 -

Hi There!
I am currently on hold with my Nationwide claim (put on hold in court last year). Like a good Girl Guide I am ensuring that all my paperwork is ship shape ready for if and when I ever get to stand in the court room! (see below for the amount).
It has recently been pointed out to me by my parents that the original account opened with Nationwide was opened by them when I was about 4 (I am now 28). Over the years Nationwide has automatically upgraded my account, eventually to a Flex Account (their current account) when I turned 18. I have never asked for my account to be upgraded, and each time it was, I was never asked to sign any paperwork, so therefore have never signed an agreement agreeing to their terms and conditions (i.e. charges).
I am going to write to them asking for 'copies' (although there are none) of the agreements I signed for the account.
Is there anybody else out there who is in the same situation with Nationwide or any other bank? Any advice on where I could go from here would be greatly received!!Amount being claimed from Nationwide - £2794.50 + £524.09 in interest = £3318.59 + court fees = £3438.59
lodged with Moneyclaim online 29/06/2007
Amount to be claimed from HSBC - £730.00 (charges only). Email sent to customer relations 01/07/2007 & letter sent by recorded delivery 02/07/2007 (to be on the safe side!!!!!!)

Hi, wondered if someone could advise.
I obtained bank statements last June 2007, and followed Martin's tips and process as described. At that point I was looking to claim ~£920 (with interest). Of course since the claims are on-hold pending the ongoing OFT test cases and subsequent process - recalculated by claim today as ~$520. This is due to the 5 or is it 6 year historic rule I think.
So I'm curious - is my original claim with the bank a sufficient marker, or am I going to continue to lose value of the claim as time goes on pending the current process?
Do I need to activate a small claims court process to place the claim marker? If so should this be the original claim value of current claim value?
Hope somebody could shed light on this.
Thanks in advance

Keeley Shaw Customer Relations Manager at Leeds was very helpfull, she even went to the trouble of calling me back to confirm that an acceptance letter was on its way to me.
However, she was aware of the fact that I am going into hospital next week to undergo assessment test for a lung Transplant...
Good Luck... I'll watch out for your success story...0 -

I e-mailed Lloyds TSb about reclaiming bank charges and was told they'd send me the last 6 years bank statements for a tenner. Surely, that's just another stupid, unreasonable bank charge?0

I am trying to reclaim just over £1000.00 in charges from Halifax and seem to be getting nowhere. I have used the template letters and told them I am having financial difficulties as I had to take a lower paid job, I am behind with my mortgage and have repayment agreements set up with various creditors etc but they just ignore my letters. What should I do next? They are currently hounding me with telephone calls for a payment of approx £80.00 (which I can't afford) as their charges took me over my overdraft limit. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated0
