nanny_pink wrote: »Please can someone advise me. I have sent off 5 letters to Lloyds TSB regarding claiming back charges. I have just been charged AGAIN even though I have tried to call the bank for help as it is something out of my control. The more they charge me the more I am going overdrawn, they wont give me an overdraft because I have keep going overdrawn!
In desperation I was going to hand deliver a letter on Friday when I got home from work with again all the copy letters that I have sent, and I have already paid the £10 admin fee yet I now think they owe me that back as well!!! What on earth can I do? my bank charges will probably be about £6000 at this rate!
I am at my wits end!
What if I'm too late? my first letter was back at the beginning of 2006!
anyone else having this awful problem??0 -
My O/H has had hundreds of pounds in charges over last 5 years . Should she wait now for test case result ? Or just get the claim in now ?0

Send it to your local branch, or the branch where you're account is held, they will forward it to the relevant department that deals with it, no hurry as nothing will be done until the test case is completed.
There is also part of a thread with addresses for most of the banks. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

bluenose,
yes basically that is your claim logged with the bank, so when any decision has been made in regard to the stays for the banks, they should start to process these complaints again, unless they get another stay granted, which I think would be very unfair that they can stop us claiming these illegal penalties, but they can still charge us for them!!!Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
We managed to claim all charges from The Royal Bank Of Scotland less intrest in October from 4 diffrent accounts, I have now decided to claim my charges back from my credit card Bank of Scotland I was claiming for about £1,000 (all intrest included) they offered me as a good-will gesture £350 and saying they dont agree with my complaint because when I took out the card I signed an agreement to their terms and conditions, do I have the legal right to ask for the full payment and if so how do I go about writting back to Bank ?? What was the courts decision on the ruling of bank charges being unfair0

I handled mine separately, but the banks offer was in one letter, and paid together.
If you are planning to take it to court, then it may reduce fees to have them as one, but personally, i would keep the two serparate.
If we are talking large amounts, then there is also the fact that any total needs to be below the small claims limit.0
