Ok, I have just jumped the gun.
Knowing that the courts wont review the warrant until the following day I have just payed the £55.00 for a warrant on the £3,614 owed by A&L.
They have taken the payment so I guess its just wait and see from here....
I bet the warrant wont get issued etc with all thats going on at the moment.0 -
From MCOL FAQ....
Q. I issued a warrant two weeks ago and I have not heard anything, why not?
A. Warrants are not actioned immediately. The defendant's local court will receive your warrant. They will then write to the defendant to advise them a warrant has been issued and that they have seven days to contact the bailiff to make payment / offer of payment. If no response is received the bailiff will then visit the defendant's property. The time limit on this depends on how busy the court is, but this is usually within fourteen days. Warrants can take several weeks to action, as the bailiff may have to visit the property more than once.
Q. How will I know the progress of my warrant?
A. The court executing the warrant will update you by post. Your claim will also be updated on the website. If you require an update you can contact the local court directly and speak to their enforcement section.0 -

Thanks for your help here, very much appreciated.
So you say it may take several weeks to get a response from A&L (thats if the courts decide not to hold) and what options do they have then etc
Can they use delay tactics again here?0 -

Hi,
I am currently in the process of claiming online and the bank has stated it intends to defend all of the claim.
I have paid £120 towards the online claim however i am very concerned as to how much it will cost if i was to lose the claim. I do not wish to end up with a large bill for court costs.
please advise? In view of the recent Lloyds Bank success (maybe - maybe not), have a look at this
County courts system 'in chaos'

It is vital that you ensure all your information is correct when using the County Court System.
Reading the above shows that even if you are right, mistakes are made in the County Courts and you could fall foul of them0 -
Hi all, just a quick question!
i have received a letter 3 weeks ago from lloyds solicitors asking for detailed breakdown of charges etc, also in the same letter they say they are minded to enter into settlement negotioation without admiting liability and without prejudice, i sent all the info back the same day and gave them 7 days to respond! i have heard nothing since!
in light of current situation can anyone tell me what may happen now, and what should i do?
kind Regards

You won't have to pay court costs in the small claims court.0 -
Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find any reference to it.
I'm currently in the process of making a claim for charges on a credit card and am calculating how much I may be due to. I'm clear about the type of charges and the statutory interest, but what about interest that has accrued on the charges that have been debited to my card? Can I make an application to claim that back too?0
