The Acer that was mentioned appears to be a refurb. not new, always makes me nervous. Someone may have sent it back because it overheats and crashes after an hour but they wouldn't find that during refurb testing and it would be hard to prove it was defective later on.
I noticed that too but thanks for pointing out just in case.
It's stil helpful tho as it gave me some ideas that I could look into.
However, I am quite risk averse so would look for new. I think some bargains can be had but its not really for me.

Grandma only likes to print stuff off the Internet or print out her email. She doesn't make her own documents such as word or excel etc and then print. She's a print junkie really - anything that catches her eye but she's getting better. Lol. So I'd rather she didn't have to create a document. Is possible to just print from the screen?
I think what she needs a tablet for is pretty simple so the Aniol appeals to me because it seems to have what we might need but that perhaps forgot to consider.

If you have an Epson wireless printer, and you install the epson iprint app then if Gran wants to print a webpage from the browser she just needs to click on menu-share and select the Epson iprint icon - the app will start and prepare the page showing a 'print' button when ready, press that and away it goes!

Sure you could teach her that.

I like my 7" NATPC tablet and even a year on from purchase it does everything I ask of it, however, I think a larger screen would be better.

I would probably never use my 'old' laptop again.

I see owning an ipad as keeping up with the jones's and £300 is a lot of money. Up to £150 for something that does the same job appeals to me.

Suggest a new name and I'll do the change. We are both after the same thing albeit a larger tablet is more for me :)

She'd be fine with that. Thanks for the info. I will still buy her an Epson printer even tho I'm taking the one I bought today back. We've all got Epson as I like the individual ink cartridges. I do want to buy her a wifi printer tho as she's got my old Epson and its not wifi and is only a printer whereas she finds a scanner & copier very useful. She's very good with technology really. She won't be without her iPhone lol.
I have an iphone4 and an ipad2 but still haven't got the Epson app to work. I must get round to sorting it out. Also can't seem to send emails from my iphone4 so must sort that out too lol. Not much time for me as I'm always sorting the rested the family out lol.
Your help tho is great thanks.
