3 bed semi detached house, separate dining room, garage, front and back garden £750 a month in Tayside.
We're in what's classed as a "good area" so we're about £100 a month over the "the norm". Council Tax is pretty steep too!
We were in a 4 bedroom farmhouse on a private estate with massive attic and field for a garden and it was £600 a month but it did need a lot of work doing to it. If it had been renovated it would have cost about £900-£1000 per month.0 -
In Bristol I was recently paying £825 pm for a nice 1 bed harbourside apartment with lovely views and first come first served parking.
In London for a 2 bed duplex river apartment with wonderful views and allocated parking it is £485 PW!0 -
We rent a 3 Bed Semi - Parking and large front & rear garden for £600pm In Bedfordshire..

I am rather glad I live in an area of the country where there is high supply and comparatively low demand!0

I live in a small NW town near Preston, and we pay £595 a month.
That's for a 2.5-bed house in the most sought-after, luxurious neighbourhood .
I'm interested in where the luxurious neighbourhood is near Preston as I'm from that area, please divulge.
Garstang? Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
I have a studio flat in North Manchester for £290pcm. It has a separate kitchen and bathroom then one main living/bed room. The electricity is included in the rent too so even though there's central heating, I tend just to use electric heaters!0

I rent out a 3 bed house in Cleveleys nr Blackpool Lancashire it has a large garden and parking for a couple of cars, close to great shopping area and good public transport, schools ect. I charge £550pm, recently I lowered the rent due to benefit cuts so that she and her to kids could afford to stay, it was £595pm but by the time i've lost a months rent due to readvertising and a bit of tarting up it was worth it to me.......and to her.0

£1000 per month, 4 double bed 10 miles north of Brighton
Its a large, and impressive house. Admittedly, we do pay a lot less than market rents in the area, due to haggling and refusing increases. We treat the house well though so our LL is happy
I am really glad we dont own it, in the 3 years we have been here we have had the following:
A plaster board wall fall down due to poor build, resulting in the wall being rebuilt plus all the plumbing behind being replaced due to the attached radiator falling with the wall
The boiler replaced
The shower replaced as the base cracked
Now the house is being investigated for subsidence. A crack has appeared in our roof, which is leaking through to next door, plus the patio has raised and dropped
The house is 8 years old, its really put me off new builds. My brother, a local builder also advised me to not buy if the offer came up.
