Nevertherless you are happy for those fascists to invade the Falklands without any condemnation; in an somewhat sick juxtaposition with the poll tax.

Maybe contemplate that many Argentinians were saved from murder as a result of Britian defeating the fascist Generals.

Perhaps we should have take preventive action when warned rather than sitting back and doing nothing. If we had stationed additional troop numbers, air cover and warships in the vicinity there would have been no need to retake them.

Why would anyone who wasn't a relative of the Wicked Witch be offended by people being happy she was dead?

I would never celebrate if I knew the gun runner son or the racist daughter were in ear shot.

You reap what you sow, if you create enemies in this life, there should be no surprise when they celebrate at your ultimate downfall.

She should have some respect for the communities she trashed or the workers she tormented in her period of power.

This thread is extremely useful, it's a simple way to idenfity a bunch of people to put on Ignore.

Can't recommend the Ignore feature enough, it's clearly criminally under-used on here as I constantly see intelligent posters rising to the bait of dull morons. Do yourself a favour & make liberal use of it, do you really think that you'll be missing out if you never read another word written by someone who's intellectual limit is to post how glad they are someone's dead?

Stop using a strawman argument in an attempt to glorify unnecessary war and Thatchers' part in it.

That is not the first time they have had the Strawman jibe aimed at them today, maybe he/she should change their name to Crowman ;)

Her actions effect my family to this day, and to the end of our days. Of course we are glad she's dead.
  • I find the truth is usually good enough, yes.

The `truth' is written by the victor.

And Thatcher has been the victor, no question about that. The main partiesd are all of capitalist consensus. No because its the only avenue but because the other 2 are lazy in finding other ways.

She spawned Blair and the corporate state.

The recent capitalist earthquake hasn't brought the complex down. Might yet, but I think more work needs to be done.

How does that justify the Generals' invasion?

We should have marched into the Ruhr at the right time too.

Put forces in Kuwait before the Iraqi invasion

But we were where we were; so the action was appropriate.

I have never said that. Margret Thatcher served her country for over a decade and left this country with a legacy which labour utterly wasted.

A truly great leader, internationally respected.

I thought earlier in this thread someone stated that Blair modeled himself on Thatcher, it seems to me that 2007 was the end game of 28 years of Thatcherism. BTW you say that constantly as anyone who reads this board will testify icon9.gif Anyway RIP Maggie.
