I wonder if this will lead to an upsurge in popularity for the Tories. Clearly there are many people who've apparently wasted the last 30 years of their lives waiting for Maggie Thatcher to die & those people have just lost the focus of their hatred. At the same time, lots of regular people are repulsed by those gloating over the death of an 80-something. In particular very many people who know anyone with Alzheimer's are pretty offended.

And Labour's poll lead has halved in a week. Astonshingly poor mid-term polling, they must be cacking themselves.

Amusingly we're getting to the point where they will be forced to actually spell out their economic policy. This is very bad news for them, by criticising every "cut" (even though there has been no real austerity) they can't very well say they'd do the same. But if they don't they're going to have to say they'll spend even MORE & put us even further into deficit. Whatever they say it's going to look horrible.
