The salt seems to have calmed the itch, I'm relieved. For now anyway! I used a LOT, hope that we don't run out of salt lol.

We're having my mum's friend round later, I'll have to get dressed again soon. I'm in my dressing gown while the salt is on my skin. :o

Before I get dressed, I promise to put on my new frock and do the happy dance in front of the mirror :)

I don't shop at Hobbs - too formal for me!

Oh my Lord, it's happened. I'm officially middle aged

I don't think that Hobbs is middle aged! Just too 'polished' for me.

Or I'm too quirky (translation: messy :rotfl:) for Hobbs :o

No, sorry Tayforth, final nail in the coffin. I said to my OH last year that I wanted to buy a sports car. She said "don't, it would look like a mid-life crisis. You'll be buying a leather jacket next."

I had bought a leather jacket about three months beforehand.

I'm off to buy a flat cap and a nice pair of driving gloves now...

Tayforth, have you tried a mild hydrocortisone cream, this cleared up me longstanding "stress" rash in a matter of days. Available from GP.
Have fun with mums friend tonight x

The salt has actually worked quite well to ease the itching! I'm impressed! But I might be asking for hydrocortisone cream if the rash doesn't clear up soon.

I've now told a neighbour and 2 more of mum's friends who called round. They were all very supportive xxx

    Good morning :)

I'm exhausted after last night, all that talking tired me out.

My neighbour said that she did have her suspicions that all was not well when the ex didn't come to the wedding, but only because two of her offspring have separated from their spouses, and one was in an abusive marriage. She got quite upset on my behalf, bless her.

Today, I'm going to visit a friend who's recently had a baby, and I'll tell her. She didn't go to the wedding and has been keeping a low profile lately with the birth, so I'm sure that she'll be very shocked to hear it.

Right, better have a shower and get dressed...

  • Bloomin heck Tay!!

Do you know it's actually like near enough a full time job to keep up with your life?! I'm really glad it went well with your Mum, I could only imagine it going that way seen as she has such a wonderful daughter in the first place. You must have got your compassion and understanding from somewhere?

I am a man, and therefore not going to attempt to pretend I know what is good for rashes, but I hope it clears up soon. x

Aw, thanks so much :o Yes, my mum is lovely but even I was surprised at how well she took it! Her relief was plain to see. And that has made things a lot easier.

Off to my friend's house now - will update later xx
