What a weekend. Not got a thing done. Friday I had a really bad stomach after coming off the antibiotics that I was taking. It was horrendous! (all better now though).

Yesterday we went to see OH's parents. Luckily I avoided an overnight stay due to said bad stomach. By the time I got home (7pm), all I wanted to do was watch Britain's Got Talent and go to bed.

Today was my niece's birthday party, so I was roped in to help with that. Got woken up early by the baby upstairs  (I know babies cry, I'm not heartless, but they just leave it to cry at all hours of the day and night. They don't even take it in the living room). So couple a rude awakening this morning with a 2 hour party full of screaming kids and I have a monster of a headache.

On weekends like this, you just have to write them off and start again on Monday. So, here is my Monday list:
    1. Morning meds
    2. Evening meds
    3. Take car to the garage for service
    4. Wrap up niece's birthday presents (it's actually her birthday on Monday)
    5. Going to Pizza Hut with her after school
    6. Sort out kitchen to see what I can put in with the carboot stuff.
    7. Do a wash
    8. Me time - have a nice relaxing bath

    Morning

I actually did get everything done on my list yesterday, I just didn't get the chance to come back on here and cross them off. My car is now all serviced and they even gave it a wash for me.

My niece had a lovely birthday and liked the presents I got for her. She bought a friend with her, who is a nice girl, but she's a right chatter box. I thought my niece was bad, but her friend didn't stop for breath!! She then started scratching her head halfway through the meal and announced that she had 'bugs in her hair'!!!. My OH has assured me that I don't have any in mine and my sister has checked my niece and nephew several times over. Makes me itch just thinking about it!!

Forgot to add that I sold another item the other day for £15, so the flat fund now stands at £227. I've got a lady coming to buy our small TV from the bedroom in an hour or so, which will add another £25 to the fund hopefully.

Meeting up with a friend for lunch today. Unfortunately it's my turn to pay, but it shouldn't cost anymore than £20.

Sold the TV for £25, so the flat fund is up to £252. Lunch only cost just under £20 too.

Better go, I'm in the middle of writing an article about ants!!

Morning. I had a horrible dream last night that my flat became infested with caterpillars!! They were everywhere. I blame the ant article.

It's my dad's birthday today, so we'll be going to the cemetery to put some flowers down this afternoon. I had a little cry this morning. Doesn't get any easier even after 7 years :(

    Anyway, list for today:
    1. [STRIKE]Morning meds[/STRIKE]
    2. Evening meds
    3. [STRIKE]100 questions[/STRIKE]
    4. Nectar Adpoints
    5. [STRIKE]Hopefully sell my DVD player (guy coming round at 11am)[/STRIKE]
    6. [STRIKE]Go to the cemetery[/STRIKE]
    7. [STRIKE]Collect prescription from the chemist[/STRIKE]
    8. Do a wash
    9. Start packing another box
    10. Sort out the mound of clothes on my bedroom floor

Hi Emz how are you doing?

We saw a friends flat that will be up to let in the next few months there's two catchs 1) OH has to get a job cos I can't take on the bills this time and 2) I am £200 short of the deposit!!

    Its a lovely flat though!

    Hi GRC :)

I'm good thanks. Little update to follow.

Is there anyway you will be able to get the flat? I'm sure that you can raise the extra £200 in a few months, so the real stumbling block is OH's job situation. Does he have any job prospects on the horizon?

It would be a shame to miss out on the flat if you really love it.

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I've been really busy getting ready for the carboot.

Firstly, since I last posted, the flat fund has ballooned to £381. I sold my DVD player for £25 and my TV unit for £50. We also did really well at the carboot and made £164.71 after taking the fees out. So we split it between the 3 of us (me, my sister and mum) and ended up with £54 each. I'm really pleased with that. My target was to get £50 towards the flat fund.

We got rid of some clutter too, but I still bought a fair bit home with me. I'm going to go through it and either take it to the charity shop of sell it some other way. Once the stuff we don't want to take with us is out of the way, I can actually start packing the stuff we do want to take.

On the health front, my hospital appointment for next week has been cancelled because the witch doctor isn't there. I can't say I'm disappointed as I haven't managed to put on the weight that I had hoped (I think I've put on 3lbs), which is not surprising seeing as I've been on really strong antibiotics for 3 weeks and I've still been taking my normal lot too - I defy anyone not to get an upset stomach when you're on 3 different types of strong antibiotics. They're going to call me when the witch doctor is back to rearrange my appointment. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's for after we have moved.

I've made a decision about what I'm going to do earnings wise when we have moved. I'm going to concentrate more on mystery shopping. I'm going to be basically living between Portsmouth and Southampton, so it's going to give me a much wider scope when it comes to MS jobs. My plan is to do the jobs in the morning (time restraints permitting) and select one of the areas to concentrate on each day and then write them up in the afternoon. I'm going to aim for £40 a day, which will give me a bit extra to compensate for the extra diesel I will be using (shouldn't be that much though if I work in the same area and I could request extra mileage payments if I do last minute jobs). If I don't have enough jobs, I can either top it up with questions or write some articles.

Then, when I've earned my money for the day, I'm going to get back into entering competitions. I used to win a lot when I was really into comping, so hopefully I can get the odd win to help clear some debts.

I like my new plan and can't wait to get started on it when we move in (only 54 days to go :T). In the meantime, I will be answering questions and maybe start doing the mystery shopping from June onwards, but only locally to where I am now.

Right, I'm off to relax - I'm shattered!!

I know we both love it but the rent and bills combined is more than my monthly wage and thats without my bills! :(

The good news is we are waiting on a potential employer to get back to us but they are waiting on finalising a contract with a bigger company so that they can employ people. Hopefully we will find out this week :)

    I know I can raise the £200 made £15 in a week!

    Afternoon :)

I'm still quite tired. I didn't sleep as well as I thought I would last night. Woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep for ages.

Whilst watching BGT last night, I scanned the DVDs and CDs left over from the carboot into Music Magpie and they are worth £14.51. I say just get rid, but I need OH to agree as most of them are his. Nobody wants the books, so I'm just going to stick them in a recycling bin.

I've downloaded a countdown app on my phone. 53 days to go :j. It's also only 42 days before I have to move out of my current flat.

So today I'm just trying to get my percentages straight on the questions and then I'm going to call it a day with that this month. Sitting there doing questions all day everyday is pretty soul destroying. I've got 3 MS jobs to complete tomorrow that pay £24 together. It should only take a few hours to do, which is much better than the questions which would take double the time. I'll probably still do 10 questions a day just to keep my account open and that earning option available.
