In my 33rd year, it's time to get cracking...

Welcome one and all to my new diary :)

I am fast approaching my 32nd birthday (25th April), so thought what better time to start a new diary. A bit about me, I live down south in Hampshire, I'm self-employed (work from home) and live with my OH who I've been with for 12 years (he drives me nuts most of the time and his parents are a nightmare - you will often hear me moaning about them!!). I also have Cystic Fibrosis (not very pleasant, but I've had it since birth, so I don't know any different. There are people out there who have it worse than me).

Because of my illness, I can't have kids, but I do have a beautiful niece and nephew who I will often talk about. I spend a lot of time with them and love being their auntie.

My two great loves are tennis (massive Andy Murray supporter) and movies (particularly superhero movies).

So that's me in a nutshell. I'm going to list my hopes and plans for my 33rd year in the next post.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you subscribe to see how I get on over the next year.

    33rd Year Goals and Plans

Stop procrastinating. This is a big one for me. When I start thinking 'I'll do it later/tomorrow', I need to stop myself and say 'No, I'll do it now!'.

Earn £1,000 per month. If I earn this much per month, I can easily get straight with my bills and start paying some decent amounts from my debts.

Health. Use my new motto 'food is fuel'. People with CF need a lot more calories than people without. I think it's about 5,000 a day, which may sound great, but it's really hard to achieve. I've got to start seeing food as my fuel to keep me going during the day and keep me healthy. It will also help me to get up to 9 stone, which is my target weight (currently around 8st 4lbs). I also need to start exercising more to improve my lung function. My dance games on the Wii are the closest I get to this, so will need to find at least 20 minutes a day for this.

Teeth! I have been wanting to get my teeth sorted for ages. They're not terrible at the moment, but they could do with improving. It's just finding the funds and the courage to get it done. I really need to work towards putting some money aside for this, or it will never happen.

Debts. I would love to get below £30k by my 33rd birthday next year. I think this is an achievable target for me.

Amazon Vouchers. Save these for birthdays/Christmas/other occasions or stuff needed around the house (and I mean really needed!).

Nectar Points. I've been doing really well with getting Nectar points recently due to joining Adpoints. However, I spent £2.50 of them on stuff in Sainsbury's the other day, and I didn't really need the stuff either. I was gutted when I got home!! So, I'm going to start saving them for Christmas.

Tesco Clubcard Vouchers. These are also being saved towards Christmas, but I'm in the Christmas scheme thing, so I don't have access to them until then.

Money Off Vouchers. Start using these more. I'm terrible for putting these in my purse and then forgetting about them until it's too late.

Take more pride in my appearance. Just simple things like doing my nails, curling my hair, moisturising my legs every day etc etc, don't cost the earth and will make me feel better if I take the time to do them.

Take more pride in my things. I have no excuse for the fact that I haven't washed my car since I got it in May last year (disgusting, I know!!). It's pure laziness. I'm sure my sister won't mind me borrowing her drive way, hose pipe and hoover when she's at work one day.

MSE. Spend more time on here picking up tips and reading other people's diaries so that I stay motivated. Also hang around the freebies forum, read the weekly email properly and post on my own diary every day.

I think that's the longest post I've ever done!! :)

So, I calculate that if I can earn £40 a day from tomorrow onwards, I'll have my £1,000 for this month. I'm pretty much sorted for tomorrow, as I've got 2 mystery shops worth £38 (plus £19 worth of freebies).

    Hi Buffy :)

Glad I have inspired you :D

I really liked the new Spiderman movie. We saw it in 3D at the cinema and the bit where he was swinging along the line of cranes was really good in 3D. I'm looking forward to the second one next year.

I hope you are having a good day too.

    Thanks Lou and MT :)

We went shopping this evening and managed to get quite a bit of food from Iceland for £23. Should last us a while anyway.

Also got another mystery shop tomorrow lunchtime for a practically free meal out (£15 towards it anyway, should only cost £5 if that).
