carbootcrazy wrote: »So sorry to hear you are feeling ill, especially at such an otherwise happy time for you. I think I'm coming down with something similar. Bit annoyed as OH had it quite badly for about 10 days (and like your OH he isn't the most stoical of patients:eek: ) and I managed to avoid catching it in all that time. I thought I'd been very lucky and got away with it but the day he announced he felt a lot better and really fancied a nice hot meal (cooked by me) I began to get tickles in my throat and a runny nose. Now developed into an irritating cough, headache and slight temperature. Intended to do my first carboot sale of the season yesterday as it was sunny and fairly mild but I couldn't face it. I just feel so lethargic all the time, not like me at all. Now the better weather is here we'll probably all be feeling brighter before too long. Here's to your speedy recovery:beer:.
Definitely sounds like the same thing. I've just got no energy and everything is an effort. I hope you feel better soon. Flaming men and their germs

Thanks Beccie
. I've sent you a link via PM

Well, I have a chest infection and a slight temperature. No wonder I'm feeling rubbish. Only a 2 hour wait at the doctors, which is good for them.
Just had a bit of bad news about the flat. The tenant there has extended his lease to 15th July. Means we will be homeless for a couple of weeks if we want the flat. I'm going to stay with my mum and OH is going to stay with his mate. I'm determined to get that flat!! I made sure that the tenant can't extend it any further. Suppose it gives us longer to get the money together. Good job we're selling all our furniture.

Thanks for the link Emz. Gorgeous flat, no wonder you're excited
OH and I had the same problem when we took over our last flat, it was a pain finding homes for things for those few weeks but so worth it to get the place you wantDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -

I think we'll be okay for a couple of weeks. We won't have any furniture to store, so will just be 'stuff'. I'm sure my sister won't mind us taking over their garage for a couple of weeks.

I'm really feeling it now. I'm so tired (even though I got a good 8 hours last night). Might go straight to bed when I get home (round my mum's at the moment).
Haven't managed to do much work wise today. I've done some surveys and watched a few videos on Nectar Adpoints. I think that's my limit.
Managed an NSD though, even with a bloke coming round the waiting room at the doctors and offering to get people drinks from the cafe in the church next door. You're not even safe in a doctor's surgery now - there is temptation to spend money everywhere (85p for a cup of tea and £1 for a coffee, not sure how much the other drinks were - is that good or bad? I don't drink hot drinks).
Forgot to mention that I received my £50 cheque from New Vista on Saturday. I'm waiting for my £25 cheque for the net chat I did last week to show up before I bank them.

I've revamped my signature. OH and I have challenged ourselves to save £795 (the deposit for our new flat) by 15th July (not the date we will move in, but the date the current tenant moves out - we'll move in a few days after). We'll do this by selling our furniture and all the stuff we don't want to take. We're having a big sort out.
I've also challenged myself to save £300 worth of Amazon vouchers that we can use to buy stuff we need for the flat (was originally £200, but I've got some more time now). Already 10% of the way there with that goal.

Just had a spurt of energy, so have listed 5 items on Gumtree. If they all sell, that's £25 towards the deposit. I've actually had a reply for one of the items and a woman is supposed to be coming on Saturday morning to buy it
.
Will try and list another 5 items tomorrow.

Hello Emms,
I am planning on a gum tree listing, it is fairly straightforward right? I was going to Freecycle some stuff but then rather cheekily thought well if I only charge a £5...........better than a poke in the eye etc.
I might also use Preloved as well - you can post ads free there too.
Hope the chest infection !!!!!!s off Take care xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hi Buffy
Gumtree is so easy to use. It's a million times better than eBay. I've sold quite a bit on there for my mum recently.
I'd forgotten about Preloved, I might give that a go for the stuff that doesn't sell. I've got the carboot next month as a back up source too.
Good luck with selling your stuff
Take care

Thank you
Once the drugs kick in, I'll be fine. My doctor informed me that this is my first chest infection since February 2012, so I was really chuffed with that.
