It wasn't being pointed out again, it was being corrected/clarified. OP didn't realise or state it was real fur though so it was valid for that to be added.
    a sumptuous fur “Flossie” wrap

If it doesn't say it is faux etc it should be real and it would be cause to complain or indeed point it out if it was not proper fur.

(Wouldn't touch it myself but that is beside the point)

It's much more common for fur to be fake these days, it's unusual for it to be real, hence should be clarified.

It doesn't say faux/fake etc so it should be real, there is nothing to be clarified and apart from personal taste it makes no difference either way.

But it can be either, which is the point.
There's no harm in clarifying an important bit of information which I am sure a lot of people are grateful for being pointed out.
Same as with any other thread on here which is missing some invaluable bit of info.

and maybe comps offering real fur should state 'real' given that it's distasteful and more unusual than the fake stuff these days so it's more a surprise if it is real, regardless of whether something should state faux in front of it if it is fake, that isn't always the case even when it turns out it is faux..

There's already been one thread recently and from that you could see people were confused over whether it was real - one post confirming that was the case for this thread did no harm in this instance.

Personally I'd love it if people would stop bumping threads just to say "Don't bump the thread".....

If you have a problem with people bumping the posts, please PM them instead and don't add to the problem.

Do we know where the confirmation came from? all they are doing is going by what the post actually says so have added nothing.

Having actually had a look (instead of just assuming, which I was also guilty of) it appears it is almost certainly faux and not real.

Hi Luckyone. I just wanted to say I am by and large a lurker but for what it's worth I'm very grateful for your recent work advising people not to bump posts.

It's easy to say you don't have to check a thread if you've already entered but ultimately you do as the question might have changed, there could be a problem with the competition, there may be a change to the terms and conditions etc etc.

I'm sure there are quite a few people like me who come on this forum to enter competitions and not so much to be part of the 'community' and people bumping old threads to add their 'amusing' comments is quite frustrating.

Before anyone says anything I'm well aware I'm not a particularly good or helpful forum member so I apologise for that, perhaps one day I will become one. I just skimmed through this thread and thought that you could do with some support Luckyone so thanks and thanks to everyone who posts competitions.

I had only skimmed the original thread and assumed that what had been stated about it being "real fur" had actually been confirmed. However the post confirmed nothing as it was only an opinion.
As it also appears to have been the wrong opinion (admittedly one I shared) so every post after that in the original thread and in this one has really just been a waste of time and there may also be people who have been put off entering who do not return to the comp post so lose the chance of winning.
