I've got a basic (joint) Nationwide account and have been trying to upgrade to FlexPlus but have been getting this message all this week:
We're sorry
Hi there. We’re really sorry but we can’t offer you an upgrade online at the moment.
To upgrade your account you’ll need to:
Give us a call on 08457 30 20 10 or
Pop in to your nearest branch
Close this message to return to Online Banking
So I call the number, and they can't do it over the phone as it's a joint account. So I've got to go to the bank, and from what I gather, listen to the insurance cover been read out for 20-25 minutes. I'll not be able to pay attention, never mind the two kids we'll be bringing along!
Anyone else having the same problem, or more importantly, overcome it? Thanks0 -
I responded to your identical post in this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/42617770

I'd have gone with this if the Breakdown cover had included motorcycles, unfortunately it only cover cars.

Sorry, don't understand what you were asking then. They pay interest on balances up to £2500.
Just to be clear, I pay nothing in regularly. They pay the interest and charge me £10 monthly. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -

FlexPlus includes great insurance cover and benefits for you and your family. If you drive a car, own a mobile phone or love to travel, a FlexPlus current account could provide you and your family with insurance cover for just £10 a month.
To see if you could save, try our calculator to add up what you currently spend on insurance and breakdown cover. If it is more than £10 a month then you could be saving with. :beer:There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING !
