Anybody else watching this?

Sat here feeling a bit sick watching The Derby Fire: Secrets and Lies. Those poor little kids, they didn't stand a chance did they :(

My sister lives in Derby not far from this area and the whole community were affected by it.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

A very dysfunctional and weird set up from the start by the look of it. Why would any woman want to be with a man like that, let alone go ahead and have children with him?

The children looked lovely and the schools say how polite and well mannered they were. What a god awful loss. I got goosebumps listening to the 999 call.

Those poor, poor babies - sacrificed for an egotistical and scrounging father who epitomises everything that is wrong with our welfare state and gives a bad name to genuine benefit claimants who need help.

I hope they rot in hell and are haunted by what they have done for the rest of their days.

    "Mick loved his children"

    Err, no he didn't.

The language he uses in front of those children is making me grind my teeth.

The picture of the policeman looking across at the dad at the press conference says it all. He didn't believe him and I think he had a point.

When I saw that on the news I had my suspicions. When a parent loses a child in whatever circumstance, they dont remain as calm and composed as that. I would be in bits if I were ever in the situation they were pretending to be in.

What an insult to their children to do that.

Those secret police recordings are chilling. They were incredibly naive to think they could get away with this. How cold and calculated can people get.

Yeah, the recordings were unbelievable. Cold and calculating.

I'd love to know what Anne Widdecome and Jeremy Kyle think of this whole thing now. Be nice to hear their private thoughts - much like I'd like to ask Louis Theroux about his time with Jimmy Savile.

Hopefully they will both suffer fatal 'accidents' within the first year of their prison terms.
Didn't watch the programme as the news coverage has been enough. Felt so sorry for the 2 brothers who tried to rescue the children.

From this documentary Ann Widdicombe appears to have got the measure of him almost immediately. Much to Micks annoyance.

What kind of man treats women with sheer contempt and refers to them as b!tch?
