  • Ladies, I need your help!

I have made my step dads girlfriend a 60th birthday card but it seems I used the wrong glue and it has gone yellow!

Any ideas what I can do to hide my c*ck up? So annoyed with myself!

    Hi ladies.

Ailsb. Oh no! Sorry I can't be of help but I really hope you manage to get the grid lines out somehow.

Fos. What nice finds! I especially like the Lanarte Topiary.
As for the pieces you have had recently framed, beautiful, I love them all!

Tricksie. Nice pics. I especially like the London one.

Chicky. Nice polka dot bow and superman logo looks great.

    Winnie. Nice charity shop bargain!

JCS1. Hope you can catch the kittens soon. We need pics when you do :D

    Nmm. Nice BD update.

MOS. Oh dear! :( The first thing that came to my mind was can you trim off the frayed edges and maybe glue some pretty ribbon around the edges to cover the yellow?
I can't really tell if the yellow is visible under the pink stitched border, if so you might need to cover the stitched border with ribbon too.

As for me. No stitching done here since last week! Will get back to it soon, promise :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

chicky superman is looking really good cant wait to see it finished

MoS, oh no really sorry cant think of much to help, did cross my mind could you perhaps dab the whole stich with something to give it a tinted effect but that might mean taking it off the card and then having to reglue it.
such a shame as the card looks really beautiful and has obviously had a lot of time and care put into it.

Evening everyone - some lovely stitching going on. I do like the little blue tits, I might stitch mine soon.

nmm BD is looking very fluffy :D

The hearts are lovely sweetcarer, after the red one how many will you have done in total?

The decorating is finally finished but just when I thought I could get loads of stitchy time, my sister asked me to help make 3 Harry Potter cloaks for a gala day display. I'm just finishing the second one and I can see them far enough. Why is it that cross stitching = fun but normal stitching = yawn? :rotfl:

That said I finally have a decent sized finished project!! I've only completed card designs since January :T It's for a cousins wedding, it's off to the framers on Friday.

I really like this design, and it's only the second larger piece I have ever stitched twice (the first being a map of Scotland).

(The last couple I stitched it for split up a year after the wedding, so this couple have to last or I'm going to think the design is jinxed. :o
