    Evening to all

Just wondering if anyone had stitched any of the Polstitches designs. Just come across the Heart Stitchery design in an old mag and wondered if anyone had stitched this or anything similar. Is it worth buying the kit as I assume you get some Polstitches fabric included.

    Regards

    Emma

I have stitched various stitchery designs - like this stitcher's cushion

If it's the Heart Design that is on the Polstitches site it is a lovely design. The kit will come with fabric but it may not be hand dyed so you might want to consider just stitching the design from the magazine chart. Stitchery can be done on almost any fabric. The one above is stitched on calico which is quite cheap.

I did buy a Polstitches stitchery kit at the Malvern Show but I haven't started it yet
It's this one - the Angel Stitching Bag. I really liked the #16 perle thread that came with the kit.

mrs_t_m - how can you posssssibbbllyyy only have 1 needle?? I think i have a zillion floating around.
Normally I only use the cheap ones but they are very flimsy and after reading this thread I treated myself to some gold plated ones and they are lovely.

I only started cross stitching about 2 months ago, and I had been using the needle I received in a tiny mouseloft kit that I bought to make my mom. I've got 20 now though!

Also, I have around 50 needles for sewing and darning things, but none were suitable for my cross stitch!

The hearts are lovely sweetcarer, after the red one how many will you have done in total?

I have done 5 so far, so that will total of 6 - purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Planning on doing something for a wee girl who had the same birthday as me, also thinking of doing something the school and the hospital. Planning to finish by end of June if not mid July to get them over to USA before start of August.

Sweetcarer. Nice SH heart. I'm sure you could stitch them in your sleep now :)

I did dream of them other night there lol.

Winnie - well done in giving up smoking - I remember someone saying stitching helps as you can't stitch and smoke at same time.

Chicky - hope you get better soon.

Louise - love your stitch but I am Scottish and have a soft spot for Rennie McIntosh. I am on the watch out for wedding stuff as I have a wedding next year to stitch for and the bride doesn't know what she wants so trying to give her ideas.

Well better get on check in with FB and get on with the SH red one.

    Keep well everyone

Here is the completed pink bear, the original text was in black but I thought it was too harsh so went with the dark pink, what do you guys think?

Only popping on for a minute. Haven't done any work on Santa this week as we have my cousin over from Australia, Her sister had a wee girl a fortnight ago who was born at 29 weeks and only weighing 3.1 lbs...anyway some of you may remember I was stitching a birth sampler for someone who I knew wouldn't appreciate it, so I have decided to finish it and send it to my cousin. I thought it was nearly finished but there is still quite a bit to do...

And I also decided I would like to stitch a piece for my cousin that is here. I have bought 9 of these kits...

all different cakes and some sparkly aida so am going to make her a wee cushion. It says each design is 3" by 3" but some look smaller so I am hoping I can fit them all on a 12" by 12" piece of aida.

My cousin leaves next Sunday so I haven't got long to do all this, especially as we are out most of the day with her...lol

On another note my hubby's old boss phoned him and asked would he work some cover for her, he is so pleased and so am I. He was in tonight for 3 hours, Sunday for 4 and then she phoned and asked could he do 8 on Monday so he might end up with a nice wee wage in time for our holidays....xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)
