caroline - I love that baby sampler, much too nice to give it to someone who won't appreciate it. Personally I like to think that a gift like that would become a family "heirloom"

  • Can anyone help?

I've started stitching a dimensions kit (without a frame as I find they just get in the way) but having done nearly a 1/4 of the design it's become apparent that the aida isn't straight so the design will end up looking wonky!

Any ideas on how I can straighten the fabric so the stitches are straight?
    Thanks

    Awww, how annoying!!

If you take it to a proper professional framer after you've finished it, they might be able to straighten it out a little bit for you :) They do clever stretchy stuff when they attache it to the back board.

Otherwise, contact the company - they will (probably) send you a new kit, but you will have to do it again :(

    Thanks for the suggestion :o

I think I might try a frame, even just to attempt to stretch/straighten it. My dad has had a look at it and thinks the aida only seems to be wonky in one corner so it might be fixable.

I've had a quiet weekend - sadly no stitching as full of cold (went to bed sneezing friday eve) and not stopped since ! Hardly a good combination for stitching :(

I have been keeping my eye on the new releases that sew and so have posted but nothing I like enough to buy - did warm to toy shop (dimensions kit) and it seems reasonably priced but not sure about it.

Cross Stitcher arrived yesterday but not had chance to look at it yet.

So I looked again at the dimensions toy shop design and was getting very tempted then I spotted this !

I've fallen in love with this and its OUT OF STOCK!

If anyone spots it anywhere, would you please give me a nudge. I've checked out all the usual suspects (sew n so, black sheep wools and ebay). Thanks :T

ohh, not sure about that one FE - can see the appeal but not for me. will keep my eyes peeled tho.

I'm shattered (and sunburnt). Kinda have the urge to stitch but not the energy. might just force myself to backstitch this dinosaur.

"Unfortunately this item is discontinued and is no longer available"
