hello ladies......(is there any men on this thread....I always say ladies lol).
Love all the updates I keep saying I'll post an update but I haven't had much time.
Anyway I'm at work all day today but had to pop on and tell you about my charity shop buy, 10 cross stitch mags for £1.....hubby hates me buying mags so I just stuck with buying ten....:jI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. Afternoon all. I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the bank holiday weekend. The weather has been nice here today. (I don't actually like sitting out in the sun but it is nice to have the windows open and to be able to get the washing dry).
I finished the penguin last week and started another one but haven't made such good progress with the second one. I'm thinking of doing all the designs but not sure yet. I think I might want to alter the designs slightly (use shiny sparkly thread for the xmas baubels etc).
I should have sat down and done some today really but I haven't been able to find the motivation to do anything really and have felt rather miserable all day.0 -
Lovely pics fos, tricksie and chicky. :T
Good find re mags winnie. I never seem to find anything in charity shops that is stitchy related.
Managed a little (very little) of Lets Do Wine yesterday. Hoping to make the most of the good weather today and get some gardening done at home and mums as things are supposed to change tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a little bit of stamina left for some stitching tonight.
Enjoy the weekend everyone whatever you are doing

Afternoon,
Loving all the updates and pictures, still not done any sewing myself though, hopefully later today.
This weekend was kitten taming time, got kitten pen ready, litter tray, bed, bedding, food, etc - sent OH up to loft with cat box..... as soon as they hear a sound they go into the loft wall cavity.
Send OH up Saturday with some thick gloves, puts hand in wall, nothing, cavity must go back a long way. Left kitten food for them, as the mother cat has started weaning them but with rabbit and blackbird
Sent OH up loft again today, he's planning to keep quiet for about an hour and see if they emerge.

Hi all
Been a bit MIA as the weather has been so nice I have been in the garden every spare minute, however back to rain today so may get some cross stitch done now lol.
FOS - beautiful pictures. I really like the owl and the winter queen.
Tricksie - gosh the world map looks complicated, Love the finished London picture.
chicky - the bow is really pretty. Hope you manage to find a father's day card you want to do.
Winnie - congrats on the magazine stash - good find.
FE - hope you are feeling a bit better.
JCS - good luck in getting hold of the kittens.
Sweetcarer - take it you don't like frogs? In which case hugs, hopefully they will be gone soon.0 -

We're off to Zante for a week in September. Then I go into hospital the next day for my reconstruction. Decided what cross stitch kit to take on hols but not for hospital. I will be in for 6 nights and off work for 6 -8 weeks so plenty of stitching time.
Tricksie - gosh the world map looks complicated, Love the finished London picture.
Thank you. The map is not as complicated as it looks! There are a lot of fractional along the coasts but working on even weave so no problem.
Page 7 of 9 completed so nearly there. Will have it professionally framed as it is quite large. Will probably waif until October and use my Birthday money.
Been to the boot fair this morning for a wander. Just got to hang the washing out and plant up my pots then it's cross stitch time :jCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -

Ah no I didn't know that thanks, another new stitchy lingo. I have a friend who is actually afraid of frogs so assumed SC was the same:D0
