on the flylady thread a frog is something you keep putting of so it sits there irritating you until you finally do it.
seems no one likes frogs whatever type they are

hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend

Maisie M, I thought the same as you "real frogs" :rotfl: You learn something new everyday :)

I passed on all your lovely advice, but still no baby :(

My 5 for £5 woxs offer has ended now and tbh I don't think i'll miss it, there were a few designs I might do but nothing that really jumped out at me. I did however like a few of the free kits, the rabbit with heart balloon, the bear with flowers(still to stitch) and the lovely blue tit(see below).

Also managed to get back to BD, heres my latest update.

You know that "frogs" are the name that some cross-stitchers give to the Mistake Monster.....? (I presume this is what SC means)
I was told it comes from "rippit rippit "which is like the sound that frogs make apparently. It's a very common expression on US stitching forums

    Thank you!

Had to rip out quite a bit - for only being one stitch out. Oh well, better get back to it.

Hope everyone had a nice day off - I was working but guess someone has to.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

JCS1 - hope kitties come and play nicely soon.

winnepooh c an't wait to go abroad - 2017 we're aiming for. It's not just the cost of travel/accomodation but for us it'll be the cost of 4 new passports as well!!!!
I'm hoping to book scarborough for the 1st week of July (with free Park Resorts mini break) and off to my mum/ dads for a week in August.
I'd order the card blanks online if you don't need them until Christmas. Tho saying that YEARS ago I got 2 packs of multicoloured blanks + envelopes (I think 50 per pack) on something silly like 2 for £5 in the works, they will keep me going for ever.

ohhhh they still do them............ http://www.theworks.co.uk/p/cards/50-create-your-own-multi-coloured-greeting-cards/5052089120839

hope the op goes well tricksie that's a long time to be in............ but YAYYAYAY for the stitchy time. The world map is FAB.

I had never heard of 'frogs' in the stitchy term...... knew about the flylady ones.

nmm I'm guessing my 5 for £5 crazy subscription has run out as £11 was taken out my account this week.
Think I might cancel it and look out for another offer. although I don't NEED any I am loving having a mag thro the post again.
    Blue tit is cute.

I found a superman logo that looks a quick stitch so doing that for hubby's card. better get on with it while he's in the pub.

credit card has taken some massive hammering today. My new life lesson is "Kids are only young once, I'll pay it off when they leave home".
    - £200 on fence posts and spikes for the garden
    - £60 on new bedside units
    - £50 on a plastic playhouse for them for the garden.

Saturday it was £70 on new lego.

at the moment I am resisting the urge to take them to see Dora the Explorer live (£15 a ticket) which is in Sheffield this week.

Thanks for the map comment. Yes it is a long time in hospital as I'm having a DIEP ( google it) I quite like hospital food but there are never enough cups of tea for me. I drink gallons of the stuff normally.

I got a 5 for £5 offer on Cross Stitch Gold last week and they were offering it on WOXS too. I very rarely make anything from the mags but like you I love finding one on the doormat after a long day at work.
