Oh a nice shiny new thread.
I haven't had any internet for two weeks as we used our limit. Don't know how as we get 15GB a month and never go over it, but this time used it up in two weeks.
I have been using hubbys phone but the screen was so small that I couldn't really use it, so off to play catch up....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

we had that ... over 20gb in 2 days! it was very annoying. we didn't lose our internet, it just ran very very slow..... then it stopped completely so I phoned up (married myself so they would speak to me :rotfl: (OH was away - account in his name only) and they gave me pointers to try first. luckily this solved the problem and I mentioned about the high downloads. I explained it was highly unusual for us, that we didn't do peer to peer sharing, that I'm sure lots of people said that but really we didn't (you could hear the skepticism as they acknowledged what I was saying ) and then you could hear the surprise in their voice as their system showed that the raw data was really really (stupidly low) (compared to the high download numbers we were seeing) .... Unfortunately I cut myself off but they e-mailed to say they were investigating. sadly it never did get explained as our internet month refreshed and the data was lost.
(not that it means anything to me but for those in the know these were the figures......
usage shows 4.69GB (but raw data 216mb) usage shows 20.89GB (raw data 590mb)
flowerpot cat is coming along but I am finding it hardwork. not feeling the love I think.0 -
Just trying to have a bit of catch up with you all - Page 7 already of the new thread
Erics Mum - wow you are so organised. I still have the big bag of Anchor threads DH bought me for xmas stashed in the bottom of the wardrobe- but I have bought the new bobbins ready for them and one day they might miraculously meet each other :rotfl::rotfl:
shelly - love the xmas stitch - getting tempted to add it to my 'to do' list I think I might have seen that in one of the WOCS mags I have.
sweetcarer - so pleased to see that you are going for it. Keeping everything crossed for you.
Soulie - so pleased to hear that you have got over your latest little blip and that you are back home. When I had my op a few years ago they told me on the Sat that I could go home on the Sun so I organised everything with DH to come and pick me up only to have to ring him to cancel it when they decided I couldn't be discharged as the pharmacy wasn't open so I had to stay till the Monday. The medication didn't actually arrive on the ward until about 5pm (I was all packed up by 8am) - I was just about climbing the walls by then

Okay finally caught up...took ages as I kept clicking on links and then going off for a wee wander...lol
Seen a lot of you are readers too. I adore reading but only really read in bed. However I bought the first two Michael Grant books in the Gone series about two weeks ago, and then went and got the other five (had book tokens from Christmas so no cash spent). I have finished them all, the last one I actually read in a day. They were a brilliant read and although meant for teenagers I really enjoyed them.....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Hello,
Thought I hadn't had updates from here in my email for a few days! Off to catch up on all the pages I've missed!
Hope you're all well and getting on great with your stitching. I have to be honest I've been side tracked by my sewing machine so I haven't picked up my cross stitch for a couple of weeks now.Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A

Hi ladies.
mandatory. Hi and welcome.
Laura. Good luck with your exams.
MrsTM. Welcome to you too. Nice pics, Mario is cute and I look forward to seeing more progress on the Cat design.
Mos. Nice update, it's coming along nicely.
As for me. I got some stitching done on monday but none since then. Yesterday I got up with an aching back and assumed I had slept in a bad position. It usually wears off but I bent down to pick something up and 'pop' my lower back went.
I tried stitching yesterday afternoon but my back was having none of it, I can't sit up and lean forward to stitch
Oh well, the sky planner is full of things I need to catch up on so I won't be bored.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

When I was in hosp. in January I knew I was being discharged the following day as it had been cancelled from the friday, to the monday (at my request as I'd had my firt lot of chemo on the thursday and I was nervous about going home). Anyways, I had to have a chest xray before I could go home and of course they didn't see me until 1-ish, so it was no early discharge for me lol It was 6.30 by the time I got home! I texted my OH at 3-ish to let him know they were in the process of discharging me, so he came to pick me up, he got to the hosp. at 4-ish so he wasn't very happy that he had to sit around for ages either!
Back OT. I still haven't done any stitching! I've been winding LOTS of threads, that were kindly donated to me by someone from here for my charity stitching, on to bobbins, and it is taking FOREVER as there as sooooooo many to do :rotfl: And I can't make my mind up if it is quicker to do them with the winder or by hand :rotfl:

Thank you for the kind welcome everyone! :j
I really like the Mario themed pieces! I have a few nerdy friends who would probably love to have something Mario-themed, I'm thinking of a birthday card for someone in the office too (she loves Mario).
This weekend I want to finish a birthday card for a friend (hamster), and plan out Christmas cards. I also need to start thinking about birthdays... the majority of close family birthdays fall in the second half of the year, and I will be overwhelmed by studying by then. I'm thinking that I should build up a stash of birthday cards instead of rushing a card closer to the time.0
