Throat feels somewhat better today so I've managed to wash down all the UPVC guttering & fascia today - didn't realise what a difference it would make! Managed to do a little pottering in the garden too. Not doing any more now as DS1's girlfriend is coming round tonight for me to do her 'roots' so gonna put my feet up for a bit :)

Glad you are feeling better silvasava.

Another project was done today - the power washing of the block paved driveway. It'd been a few years since we'd done it last, and it was pretty shocking now much muck was washed off. Also, we washed the white fascias of the dormer window, a scary operation which involved Mr Goldie going up the ladder at an awkward angle!

We've both got the rest of the week off work, and plan to get a lot of work done in the garden, as it's the last of the warm days down here tomorrow.

The freezer is beginning to look empty, so I should be able to do the de-frost next week.

I had a peep in the cupboards in the garage a bit earlier. Oh wow, there's a lot of crud in there! Tidying that up will be a project, but I'm still working on the house de-.cluttering. I'll get around to it at some point!

Mr Goldie still has started scanning the photographic slides on to disc, but I'll let him off for the time being, as he had to go up the scary ladder!

Flyingmamma, you reminded me that our fence needs painting, it's now on the to do list

But right now I'm relaxing with a glass of wine

Oh flyingmamma do hope your littlies recover soon - its such a shame when they are too little to understand. DS's Girlfriend has just gone - I've done her roots, trimmed the dry ends & blow dried it for her - she's a happy bunny as the hairdressers would have charged about £40. Back in the year dot I was a hairdresser but my skills are long out of date - as long as its pretty basic stuff I can still cope reasonably well & as I don't do it very often now I quite enjoy it!!

Oh flyingmamma I do hope the littlies improve soon. They must be really miserable - I know how awful I felt & I'm an adult! (well - supposed to be ;))
Made a good start this morning - posted off a lovely pink summer suit that I've never worn to an aunt who I'm sure will make good use of it.
Did some shopping in L*dl & now going to start sorting out packing for our holiday next week - woo hoo! This afternoon I'm going shopping with a friend to pick up her outfit for her DS2's wedding - happy day today!

I'm visiting extended family - with lots of littlies so I'm going laden with stuff for them. Just trying to figure out how to get it all into the cases!
FM Glad your littlies on the mend too :)
I've just been on the BBC website to check the weather out for where we're going - its 31c at the moment and maybe upto 40c next week  too hot for me so I'll be staying indoors if it gets that high.
I've just finished pottering in the garden to make sure everything will survive while we're away - looks as if the UK is in for a good weekend - do hope so,everyone NEEDS some sunshine ;)
