Hi all - managed finally to get a large bag of carrier bags out of my boot where they've been for a month & stuffed into Mr M's bag recycle (it doesn't say only Mr M's bags so I took advantage - hehe)
I remember something about knitting with bags but what would I make - another bag?? I keep getting charity bags posted through the door & they never collect the empty ones so DH uses them to line the kitchen bin but even though I take my own bags to the SM I STILL seem to collect them (maybe they're doing something naughty in my cupboard
) Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

That is the hotel that looks like a sailing ship, I have only seen pictures. It would not be for the likes of me.
My DD has said she had a meal there. Showed me the photo. It was a invertation = table for 4.
I like looking at holidays online and travel programs. I should think we are staying at home this year as we have a dog.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

I despise flying so to get me to dubai it would be a case of the strongest drugs A bit like B.A from the A Team:rotfl: so really there would be no need for the 1st class either, i was recently in Donegal visiting my parents and the flight is just around 30mins from Glasgow and i was a complete wreck, The vodka helped:beer:Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, And Today is a Gift, That's Why it's Called The Present

I like this thread :-)
Although our house is clean and tidy it does have areas of clutter that need sorting.
Also projects like painting inside, painting the fences (once it warms up), I have landscaping plans for the garden.
Also some "me" projects! I need to get some weight off before my holiday, I want to get fit and regain some me time!
A bit about me - I am 41, got two lovely girls age 8 and 6, a great OH, I work 4 days a week, 5th day the girls finish at 1:30 then go to swimming lessons so not much spare time, also run a little business from home.0 -
I'm not motivated to start the decluttering etc I need to do at the moment . I feel as if I'm waiting for something, maybe warmer weather, even though it's indoor things to be done . I have grandson from 11.30 to 1.30 for 4 weekdays which cuts the day in half . By the time DD comes back for him and has a cuppa it's after 2 . One day I collect other 2 grandsons from school so don't get much done that day . I need to be more organised and get started but I sometimes feel my get up and go has gone . Once I've done the necessary housework I can't be bothered with the rest !0

Made it out of the house by 11 today ... Walked the mile and a half to my sis's new house pushing double buggy! Wrecked! This is the start of my fitness plan I reckon that every day will help lose the baby weight! Came home did 2 loads of washing and scrubbed the buggy... It's now drying in the sun! Fitted into my pre preg trousers well today so hoping I will be able to wear swimsuit on hol in 5 weeks!!! Fingers crossed! Started my bathroom painting last night well I gathered all my paint brushes etc.... Tonight will mask and poly fill aiming to paint first coat sat night. Thought it wud be easier to do it in stages as sometimes ... Usually always ... Up wit kids in the evening. Have added fence staining to my to do list was just in the garden and fence looks v unloved! Tonight I'm going to plan my holiday to do list ... We away at least 3 weeks so thought I cud lesson plan for sept ...No more toys til Xmas 2022 , mfw 2023 challenge , Trying to not waste food , time or money and appreciate the moment more!0

i started stripping my bathroom a while ago, as yet havn't got round to finishing it, im undecided what to do???? it was originally papered , not ideal paper in the bathroom,(blown vinyl) but its rented accom, impeccable when i moved in as its newly converted basement, been here almost 5 yrs, if i'd known i was staying this length of time i would have tiled cheaply behind loo before now, but think wallpaper will be my final choice as time's moved on considerably, maybe something i can paint over again and again.. Good luck with yours
