Oh savingqueen, you have just reminded me that I was meant to make a loaf today. Oops. I had my first success on Saturday after many failed attempts so feel very proud of myself.
Another one here who struggles and needs to do bits at a time. I just wish all the bits were in the same room.:o:rotfl:
Just the declutterers on this afternoon then. I hate it and have felt better getting rid of stuff. It's starting to feel a little more light and airy here.
I have just quickly started a little job I have been meaning to do for ages. I have a painted blue brick window sill outside and it has been peeling for ages. So out with the nitrom0rs and on with the first coat. I think it will come up lovely, much better than paint.
Tootoo I love other people's lists, can't wait to read it......yes I'm very nosy.
Have a good afternoon all. Off to do a bit more now.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

congrats on your first successful loaf parsniphead! I have been making my own (by hand) for a few months or so now. I had a breadmachine but the paddle drove me mad and I find handmade is the thing for me. If someone had told me a couple of years ago I would be baking my own bread, I would laughed out loud. So many things yet to have a go... really exciting!
re: being nosey, pinocchio (sp?) is my middle name
off to bake a quick batch of muffins now, some choccy, some raspberry - showing off now eh?! should be making dinner but that's next on the list0 -

How do you do it flyingmama with three little ones. I struggle with one Toddler, every job turns to chaos. The thought of painting with him around :eek::eek:
That said he is at kindergarten today so a day of de-cluttering and spring cleaning ahead. Plus painting a bit of the wall outside.
I will not spend all day on mse.;)1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Good morning....not much sleep here last night.
I had delivery yesterday and at almost 11pm they decided to text my landline and tell me my parcel would be delivered today?! I kind of knew that seeing as I already had it. Then dd1 didn't sleep very well so my motivation is low today. Not a good start, but I'll muddle through
Not sure how you manage with the 3 little one fm. I have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old and thats hard enough!
So my list. I'll start small with the hope of actually doing it.
* Move fish tank (in readiness for new sofa - gift so free:))
* Washing on
* Ham joint out for dinner
* Airing cupboard needs a desperate sort through. How much bedding do you think is reasonable to keep? I think I currently have several duvet sets for our room but they never get used.
I have so many more jobs, but I'll try and tackle these first!
MFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 260 -
Clearing out the small walk in cupboard in my bedroom. Apart from wondering why I started this job (it's hell), feeling very sick and ashamed.:(
My house will never get into this state again.
Tomorrow I'm going to take mum and toddler out for breakfast as a pat on the back for facing the cupboard from hell.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Do what you feel able tootoo, it's no use wearing yourself out. Re your airing cupboard I read a tip on here a while back about folding sets of bed linen into one of the matching pillow cases to help with organising. Brilliant idea.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Been quite busy here this week.
We've done some work in the garden - the lawns are mown and raked and the spring lawn feed has been spread.
We've replaced the letterbox in the front door, the old one rattled in the wind.
Also, I've been sorting old photos into order, and into neat boxfulls. I've done about three quarters of them, mostly photos from my parents house, and photos since we got married.
There was one photo that has turned into a mystery though.
It's a photo of a boy, probably about 5 years old. It's really old, maybe 1st World War time. It's fascinated me for my whole life. My mum told me it was 'Cousin Jack' ( her mum's cousin, but everyone called him Cousin Jack)
When I worked on my family history I found that Cousin Jack was born in 1910, so it tied in with what I've been told.
However, sorting through other photos I found some of Cousin Jack as an adult, and this boy is not Cousin Jack. I know you change as you get older, but the shape of the boys face is completely different!
The boy does look a bit like other memebers of my family when they were boys, but there's no one on my family tree who seems to tie in with this picture.
It's a mystery. The only person who might be able to help is my cousin in Canada, he's about 20 years older than me and knows a lot of family history - I'll have to email him
I've now got to sort all the photos from my parents in law, but I'm giving myself a few days off first!Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Goldie If you have a digital camera, take a photo of the old photo to email to your cousin. I've been re-photographing lots of old family photos so I can send them to family members. Its been really interesting and some of the stories they remember are fantastic! Made me wish I'd asked my Mum & Dad more about their early lives when they were still alive.
I'm back to making lists of my 'to do' jobs - at least that means I can cross them off when they've been completed which gives me a small frisson of satisfaction - oh I'm so easily pleased
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
