Really , woohoo :j:j:j:j Would loooove to stay. Thanks.
Could totally understand it though if you wanted people to move on as it about debt busting and I'm doing more debt prevention now (wouldn't even call it saving yet)

Prevention is a GOOD word! I think I might steal it. It's like the light between the goals, the limbo yet realised and the last hurdle before the big one. SAVING!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Quick question. Has anyone ever changed bank accounts to get the lets say £125 reward like First Direct do just now. Been with the same bank for years out of loyalty (why) and lazyness plus it has a convenient branch. Is it difficult?

I haven't always tempted though!
I was reading on another thread about an American guy who does the whole debt free mentoring thing and he says emergency fund first then debts, then build fund up to three months of outgoings - debt prevention to me! I think you guys are right that there is that grey area between cleared debts and totally debt free for life where is something breaks, goes wrong or needs replacement or a life crisis then without savings debt is just around the corner. Change cycles take months to become new entrenched behaviour and I am aiming to be changed for good this time. Just to keep a roof, bills and food for 3 months would need over £5000! Hmmm... Evening all.
Long time no see:o!!!
Have just catched up with posts and NSK and other peeps, I know what you mean when you were discussing the "friends" issues. I sometimes wonder why I bother with some people. I recently had a birthday which a couple of friends forgot.....And why is it when people ask you what you want, go and get you something completely different that you neither want or need, so it just ends up shoved in a drawer, especially when you made an effort to get them something they asked for for their birthdays/Christmas etc.
Anyway I could go ONNNNNNNN, but I wont.
Had a few lovely days lately with some friends in Notts although spent quite a bit on going out and other little bits. The last 2 days have been SFD tho:p, worked a bank shift yesterday and today been walking, even had a very lovely lunch with 2 friends although made me feel guilty as one of them footed the bill wouldnt let me pay my share.

Hi everyone
Still another spending daybut I've tried to do it with moneysaving principles in mind!
Achievements as follows...- Went into Co-op to buy some emergency toilettries & managed to leave having spent £2 only (no additional items bought - must be the first time ever!)
- Bought batch of essential toilettries online at a much cheaper price than in the shops, should last me a good few months (£10.17)
- Bought a batch of anti-histamine tablets to last 12 months from link on moneysavingexpert site (£10.40)
- Both online purchases made using some of the profts of Ebay selling done over the past two weeks
The only downside is that I was aiming to use my Ebay proceeds to pay to a CC - but at least I haven't used a CC to purchase the goods like I used to...
Spending diary updated & slightly smug feeling achieved

Hi all, I think I have only two real friends, ones that I can depend on in an emergency or the such like, one I see quite often and the other lives a little way from me, so we dont see each other very often and can go months without being in touch, but when we are its like we have never been out of touch:) both I have known for a fair few years now. The people I work with are just that, and in all honestly not my kind of people, (or am I the only one not to watch soaps and actually believe that the characters in then are real!!)
Anyway had a lovely day off, pottering around this morning and going out with DD3 this afternoon. I have made my lunches for tomorrow and Friday - pasta salads - and will take out a HM ready meal out of the freezer for dinner, tomorrow morning.
It sounds very windy outside here, so I will go and put Rosies cover over her - I do spoil her:rotfl:but she is soooo cute.
