Until the moment you are married you are legally two separate individuals. Even if you live together, buy property together, plan a future together and even have a child together you are separate. Therefore you should take account of this when making financial decisions.

Once you are married you are legally a unit in a lot of aspects and therefore I truly believe in both people bringing everything they have into the partnership, and that isn't just money. However I do believe that being in love shouldn't mean making bad financial decisions, married or unmarried, and some married people have a spouse that can't be trusted financially and do have to protect their assets, but that should not be the norm.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
