Well, I had such big plans for the day ... I was going to get up early, clean the kitchen, get some baking on the go, scan in a load of pictures for my various websites, cook a nice chili con carne for tea and freeze 3/4 of it ... and then, just as I was about to tackle the kitchen, the builder called. It was my lucky day, apparently, and he was coming to finish a job he should have come to finish last week ...
So, hello to all before and after. Hugs to everyone who needs them. Good luck to all who have luck-requiring things coming up. And hope all who feel poorly start to feel better soon.
Anyway, this archway ... when I moved into this house it was still a rental (as I'd walked out of the marital home with just the clothes on my back and the cat under my arm), and I didn't want to do anything structural to it until it was mine. Then, when it was mine, our house sale fell through and I couldn't afford to get the work done. Now I can, the first job was to brick up this massive archway the landlord had knocked in between the kitchen and the lounge. (Why?)
The builder came 2 weeks ago and did said bricking up and fitted the door lining and he was going to hang the door last week. He's been and hung the door, had a good, long natter (he's a mate), and also fitted a new toilet seat and a beaded curtain over the back door - for no extra charge, bless him.
He's gone now and I've only just caught up on today's daily.
I'm a bit disappointed that my day didn't pan out (I couldn't really work on the pc because it's next to the archway in the lounge, and I couldn't work in the kitchen because his tools were all over the place in there, however, I did manage to at least sort out the pictures plus the ones my ex has asked for of his kids), but there's not really anything on telly tonight I want to watch until 9pm (Ian Hislop and the boy scouts). So I may do some work now.

Good Evening All
I stayed an extra 1/2 hr at work today, try and get a little overtime in! I had to cover reception/switchboard today at work (breaks & lunch), first time Ive done it in this job! It was funny, I lost about 4 people somewhere in the system, and put customers through to the wrong person! Oh well!
We had mash & sausage casserole for dinner, with left over HM fruit crumble
Ironing done for tomorrow, pack ups done, washing (just about getting there)
DW loaded up & on. TD working over time.
Rabbit cleaned out.
Dog's bedding washed, and Dog bathed.
All kids & me bathed. DD now in bed.
I rang the estate agents today who my dad is selling his house with, its been SOLD! I will see how long it is before he tells me he's moving! As he never told me his intensions in the first place, not that its anything to do with me. But it would have been nice to be told!
tired mum thats excellent news ref DD! :j
Anyway off for a cuppa now
Bye for now

Just a quick update on vet situation. Well, she has had another injection which may or may not work.(she has a problem with her gum) BUT.....If there is no discernable progress(we are back on Thursday) then they are talking about an operation. BUT as she has various problems including a pssible thyroid condition currently under investigation this makes the op VERY risky. Was told that at best its 50-50. So tomorrow will contact the Feline Advice Beureau(sp) for more specialised advice. I am a member and they are fantastic. There is a specialist health centre for animals that the vet has to refer you to so may see how to go about that. Not happy with 50-50 pretty !!!!!! odds IMHO. Hope all the SATS gang went on ok am thinking about you all. Have a nice evening and take care. A XXXXBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Hi,
Thank you all for your kind hugs and msgs. I don't want to post about things as there are family members who visit these chat rooms.
I've just taken it easy all day. I didn't go in to work and my friends have cheered me up - even did me a fry up (bless!). I got a couple of things done that needed doing and feel on top of the house work (thx to every1 on the flylady thread) which always cheers me up a bit. I've also spent time with the kids and caught up with a good friend who I havent seen for a while. I'm just giong to finish watching Eastenders and Corrie and then have a nice hot bath with my magazine n do my nails.
On the OS front, I have made cakes (yes, again...), done lots of flying and sorted out LOADS of washing, tidied kids bedroom, done their abc's and read DD1s school books with her.
Thx again for all ur hugs I really needed them this morning and felt quite ill.

Good evening,
Thanks for all your :grouphug: I enjoyed them all.Bit late in posting today, but better late than never. We got up early this morning and took the ferry to Hoy which is a island nearby. Beautiful. Saw a few colonies (if that's the word) of seals on the rocks which were a delight to watch. Went for a very long bracing walk along the shoreline. DH loves walking while I trailed behind nose dripping.
OS wise I make all our lunches the night before but we did splash out on a double cone orkney icecream for afternoon tea which wasn't fattening at all. Amazing stuff this icecream up here.
Plans for tomorrow I hear are more long bracing walks  as showers are forecast for Wed & Thur. Hope you all have a good nights sleep. I think I will. (((((((((hugs))))))))))) to those that need them. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Good Evening All
(((hugs))) to those who need/want one.
The thanks button isnt working properly for me so if ive missed you out - apologies.
At last has stopped raining here but a bit late in the day to be useful.
Had busy day - dropped DS at school then took DD for her hospital appointment which is 40 minutes away. Waited for and hour and a half to see her consultant but once we were in there he did spend some time with us. Trying a new approach to her problem so hopefully will see some improvement. Then spent 40 minutes waiting for her medication at the hospital pharmacy.
Once left that hospital had to then go to another one for my appointment - this one was 1 hour way - got there half hour early and was in and out in 10 minutes. Mind you the car parking charges were double. On my letter it advises you to carry some small change for the parking - dont think that £3.50 is small change!
Anyway was dreading today but it is now done & dusted. Also did a couple of loads of washing and all the ironing. Half cleaned main bathroom and cleaned cooker hob. Tomorrow will be in office most of the day but will finish the bathroom hopefully.
I by mistake ordered some chicken tikka pizzas from tesco.com. I took them back to the shop but they will only exchange within 20 minutes of delivery (imposs for me) so we had them for tea tonight - they were disgusting. Will double check my list in future if I order from Tesco again.
Anyway best be off. Fancy an early night.0
