    Morning.
Nothing much happening here today but weather looks very sorry for its self.
What I do have to do is hang the washing on the airer and put what ever clothes away that needed to. have soup in the sc some of the lentils dont look quiet cooked so will put it on low all day thats should sort it , it has nothing to do with the fact I thought it be a good idea to add more lentils when the rest are already cooked lol.
anyway its just the house work there after missy might go for a nap after the school run so i can dash round doing it.
Thats about it from the ever exciting Queenpig house hold lol
    Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03

queenie, good on your friend, it must be inspiring for those around her to see her so positive, it reminds me of that lady, Jane i think is it, who has cycled and run marathons whilst ill
Ah, erm ... she's not quite up to *that*, she's wheelchair bound now ... ... I wonder if she'd enjoy doing some wheelie's on her birthday at the weekend  now that would make her laugh!! :rotfl:
But yes, I've read about the woman you're referring to, remarkable woman!!

    Good Morning All

Im running slightly late, so will read the thread ater the school run.

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO HAVE CHILDREN WHO ARE DOING THEIR SATS THIS WEEK!
    my son seems pretty relaxed!

Had a lovely Sunday dinner yesterday, roast port, roast spuds - parsnips - & butternut squash, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, broccoli & mash. And HM apple, blackberry & strawberry crumble. Invited mum round, as I know she's still busy moving/unpacking!

    Tonight is sausage casserole.
A few more items ended on ebay last night, so will post them later after work.

We got a home visit on Tuesday from the Cats Protection, as OH fell in love with a cat! He' s only been in there 3 days, think he came from a seperation from his previous owners! There was some upsetting stories to read, just wish I had the space & finances to bring them all home!

Got loads of washing to get through still.
Right, off to do the school, catch you later

    Morning everyone

Hope you all had a good Sunday. I went to a ball at our rugby club on Saturday night and I was rather unwell on Sunday :o Enough said..

Big hugs and good thoughts to anyone who needs one, but jet77 and PenPin especially.

Anniebooklover - I like this page for a random C&H's to make me giggle each day.

Well, today, I am quite terrified. Don't know if anyone remembers, but I mentioned how I had agreed to go waterskiing in May? Well it's next weekend... I have booked a secret lesson tonight to try and get over the fear prior to a whole weekend  One friend knows and is coming with me. It's good to do new things, it's good to do new things >repeats to self< Anyone who is feeling sad or bad today and needs to be cheered up, just imagine me squealing and being pulled along on a rope behind a boat arms and legs flailing in the pouring rain in a wetsuit. It's a great mental picture isn't it?

OS here, some washing, some food shopping, post eBay parcels, perhaps go to library. Have washed the covers for one of the sofas so will wrestle those back on. Oh and update finances too.

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Hi.

First time i have popped in here for a chat. How are you all?.

Anyway 4 days off now and i am currently on bucket duties with my 4yr old DD who has picked up a stomach bug.

Anybody have any ideas of anything that i can give to settle her belly as she is bringing the water she is drinking straight back up.

She has eaten a little piece of toast but that is it.

Hopefully just a 24 hour thing.

    ym

PS. Sorry did not mean to post at breakfast time. Hope i did not put you off.

    Good morning everyone.

    ((((hugs)))) to Jet and Aussie.

Good luck for Friday to Odds'n'sods. Welcome to OS, too

Reverie - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Good luck :T The nearest I come to water sports is diluting my whisky!

Get well to all feeling poorly.

Good luck to the KS2 SATers :T :A

DS has given me the letter for his school *reward trip*. His only costs £17.50 (compared to £27 for his sister    ). Luckily, we can afford it, but what a shame for those children who've behaved well and worked hard all year, but can't

Raining here, today, and the garden looks better for it. Spent so much time outside, recently, that a day *confined to quarters* to catch up on paperwork and tidying will be welcome.

Have ironing to do, hoovering, and a good clean of the kitchen. DH roasted a duck last night, so I'll be making stock from the carcase, to make into onion soup.

Edit - welcome to yellow monkey - hope your DD is better soon.

Have a great day, Penny. x

:hello: Welcome to OS yellowmonkey :D:D:D

Only give her sips of water, not a drink of water. The bug will see itself out. Hope she is better soon.

today I have another essay to finish for another course I am doing but I cant tell you the boost that other result has given me!
still waiting on the result of yet another course....why did I agree to do three courses at once? never, ever, ever, ever again.

trying to get the washing up to date while I type. our forecast is for sunshine until tea time so should be able to get all the towels etc done.
need to food shop later. on holiday all week so will be able to cook OS all week. hoping to lose some weight too. only 8 weeks till florida and the dreaded shorts! although to be fair over there they are all so fat I look like twiggy! ;)

    Jet77 (((hugs to you)))

Reverie, I have only been water skiing once on holiday probably kept upright for oh 2 seconds but it is great fun (not sure about in the pouring rain though:(

Well am off w**k today, my plan was to do some gardening but not much chance of that with the rain and the wind.

Will probably paint the hall instead it's looking a bit scruffy and I have been meaning to do it for ages. House needs a general proper clean as well so should keep me busy.

Have to pop into town later to pay a cheque into the bank then need to buy a whole chicken from the butcher for tea.

Off to keep fit kick boxing later

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning everyone

haven't been around too much lately - busy doing nothing :)

the eldest dd's went to meet their dad yesterday - we left some 15 years ago due to domestic violence and they haven't seen him since then what with the injunctions and his prison sentences and all - nice bloke! The eldest has made it clear that she remembers everything and doesn't want a relationship with him but the younger one has no memories and probably will see more of him. That's all fine and dandy but when I knew him he was racist and her son is mixed white, black and asian so that will be a problem for her to sort out. I don't know how I feel about this any more - he has been such a shadow in my life for all that time but now he's a reality and I don't feel as scared as I thought I would. He didn't bring the photos of our son but I think it was a spur of the moment meeting and he has promised to bring them next time.

Jet77 - sorry you're feeling so down - come back later and share if you're up to it.

Today's plans are to do some housework, paperwork, mealplanning, shopping and other dull stuff
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
