O S for Monday 14th May 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 14/05/2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

Morning all;:hello: this is the first time I have started the thread so I hope I’ve done it properly! Have been up since 3.30 – had a restless night again and it might be because I forgot TWINK’S lavender treatment! Anyway, on my second cuppa and will be grabbing a shower in a mo. WM and BM ready to go on and I’ve been getting on with tidying and reorganising my office – spent all day yesterday on it (well, it was hardly gardening weather, was it?) – and it’s looking really good so far.

Can’t give you my local weather forecast yet because I can’t tell what it looks like but I think they’ve forecast more rain. I don’t need any more – my garden is looking really lush, the lawn has shot up and the pond is full so could do with a few days off!

Well, I will check that no-one else has started the thread before I post! Good morning to all who follow and (((hugs))) to all who need them. Will stop by later!

    Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is well today - ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or nedds one xxx

Well, today my new LO starts, so hope he will be ok - also have my other 2 here, so will see if they will help with him. Prob wont get anything done whilst he is here but i really have been looking forward to having a baby here again, so i really dont mind. Didnt get all i wanted to do done at the weekend (not feeling 100% and ended up having a really lazy weekend) but i have kept 'on top' of most of it, so i dont have loads to do. No rain at the moment (and a bit of blue sky) but dont think its going to last.
Not much else planned for today - will pop back later if i get chance.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome odds-n-sods - good luck for Friday!!!

    Hi
Good luck odds&sods, I don't envy you the test just seems to get harder & harder, but I suppose thats only fair as road conditions change, I'm just glad I passed before they bought in parallel parking, I have enough problems parking my tank as it is!
    Hugs

:hello: Gooooooood Morning fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

Yup, grey and overcast here this morning too and yesterday's rain certainly came as a downpour! Very refreshing though :D

Spent a goodly amount of time yesterday catching up with "Money" and updating things; then noticed from the TVC that it can now be accessed online for statements and payments, so set that up as well - felt very organised, I must say :) My shredder is now full and the contents will be disposed of in the composter

Sorry you're not feeling 100% cat - hope you pick up soon.
Good luck for Friday odds-n-sods, is it your first attempt?
Kathy, yes you did it right :T :D
Lorraine, take some time to *enjoy* your day off, shouldn't be all work ;)
pam, good news that your dd is back at school, hope she has a good day
    N9eav - do the office ;):D

Have a good MSE Monday everyone :D

    Morning everyone!
Hope everyone is good this morning.?? Hugs to those who want want (()))

Well still raining here hasnt stopped all night, garden is going to need some serious attention once weather picks up, everything shooting up.

Well today DS1 starts his SATS, not been looking forward to this week for a while, he got quite worked up about it last night, but we told him to just do his best and thats all that matters, it doesnt help as his school have already told them their predicted grades which has but added pressure on him as he is predicted straight level 5`s.

My money finally gone into bank, so can pay some bills today and food shop, but need to meal plan first.
Need to make meals this week that can be reheated as dh is painting a friends staircase for them, so will be going straight from work to do a few hours a night.

Have a lovely if not rainy day everyone

    Morning all

Is this rain never going to stop - I know the gardens needed it, but good grief, we'll be washed away soon :D

Managed to do a bit of planting at the allotment yesterday, when I first saw it I couldn't think what I was going to fill it with, but now I have run out of space

Off to work today, but it will probably be really quiet because of the rain, so I'll take my knitting.

Good luck with the driving odds, I remember my first test, I nearly knocked down a padestrian, honestly

Hope everyone has a good day and :grouphug: to everyone.
