Morning everyone
Welcome oddsnsods and good luck for Friday. Welcome too to yellowmonkey, second what Queenie says about sips of water. If she has a sip every couple of minutes she should hopefully keep it down. Don't give her anything to eat until she starts feeling hungry, then give her something plain at first - banana, white rice, apple, white toast is what we get told.
(((((Hugs)))))) jet77 and anyone else in need today.
Crazychik your dinner sounds gorgeous. Making me feel hungry!
Well, we are off to visit a school with DS1 this morning, he starts next Sept and we have a choice of two locally which we are in the catchment for, both good AFAIK so just visiting to see which we and he prefer. Going to try and get my Flylady jobs done if possible, then my parents are coming to stay for a few daysHaven't seen them for ages and will be lovely to have their company and some help with the kids, even if they do spread mess and chaos around the house
Probably won't be around much this week with house guests in, so I hope you all have a great week. That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
Morning all
It's so lovely to catch up with everyone, I've been busy that last few weeks and not had the chance to post. Unfortunately when I'm not on the OS daily I end up doing silly things such as buying coffee and lunch at work...
((((hugs)))) to everyone who needs them.
I'm in London today and it's n ot raining (yet!). Wish I was in my lovely flat in Cornwall instead as I'd love to be able to say I had the SC on, WM on and some washing on the line!
Oops, it's nearly 9am and I need to jump in the shower! Have good days all

Well postie has just been.
When i say postie i think it must have been a posse of them because there was such a loud thud on the porch floor i thought i had just had delivery of the western Europe phone directory:rotfl: :rotfl:
Turned out it was only the Tax credit form to fill in. Whoopy doo just what i need. Another form to fill in regarding my financial status:D
Still any thing that offers me money is welcome.

Crazy here at the moment, so only had a quick scan at the start of the list, but once I finish if anyone needs any help with the MS office package, Excel, Access, Word, then just PM me, can usually make it do most things! That I can master, now cleaning and cooking, is another thing altogether!
Take care

Morning all
come on for a quick relax after the manic session that was getting dressed and getting the kids to school in the rain. DH had "hidden" the car keys, and DDs buggy is in the car. Aaagggh. Had to manhandle her while cajoling DS into going to school, managing 3 brolly's and making sure DDs wellies didn't fall off.
I've given in to her and let her put Cinderella on while I change the beds (bad mum I know, I know)
Need to get back to the bedroom. Found a little cabinet in the back lane which someone had put out for the bin men, I "freecycled" it myself. Plan is to recover the little pinboard section and then paint it with what's left of my farrow and ball paint. I'm itching to do it, but I know from experience that a 2 year old and painting projects don't mix. I'll have to wait til tonight.
Take care all.

got to help DS aged 17 to find a new job, have dragged him out of bed so he can get on the net and start looking - he doesn't seem to see any urgency but we cant afford to keep him!
My little jack russell Nipper is in the 'dog house' so to speak as he caught a blackbird and ate it in the kitchen yesterday:mad: lots of blood and feathers but nothing left of it! so today his collar with a bell is going back on so the birds can get a warning he's about!
going to make DH some more welsh cakes which he adores, be hard not to scoff them myself!;)
(((hugs))) to those in need, have a great day all!

Hi – just popping in briefly before I have to go to the bank, then get some milk, then post the book I sold on Amazon yesterday – first sale!
GOOD LUCK to all SATS-sitters today!
ODDS-N-SODS – GOOD LUCK with the driving! I would hate to do my test again! We didn’t have to do parallel parking, hazard awareness or the theory – this was many summers ago – but my DH, having watched my appalling attempts at parallel parking (why is it worse when they are watching?!), decided to teach me how to do it and I am fairly confident at it now as long as I have a two-mile long gap between the other cars!
SPECIAL (((hugs))) to CATOWEN, JET77, PENPIN and AUSSIE this morning. Hope the day improves for you all.
QUEENIE – thanks for the confirmation that my first OS thread starter was right! I also find I am using the computer for practically everything! Once you find out just what it is capable of it encourages you to make the best use of it. I think it was you who said yesterday that you touch-type? I have my RSA I,II and III in typing and shorthand – I have always been glad I learned to type but I wonder why they don’t include it in the National Curriculum these days? The whole world seems to be computer-driven – you’d think it was essential to teach children how to type as soon as they introduced the computer into the classroom.
TWINK – I have put the lavender bottle on my bedside cabinet now so I don’t forget again! I haven’t used it for the last two nights and I have hardly slept!
SCUZZ – can’t believe anyone could get close to a payout on Archerfish – it’s so tedious, isn’t it? Unless I am doing it wrong!
REVERIE – thanks for the link and Good Luck with the water-skiing!
YELLOWMONKEY – welcome! I echo what everyone else has said about your little one but it might be worth asking your pharmacist if she doesn’t settle. It’s more important for her take plenty of fluids rather than food but, as others have said, little sips and, when she has her appetite back, dry toast. Anyway, (((hugs))) to her.
DOGROSE – Congratulations!
I think someone on here yesterday said they were having time-of-the-month tummy pains – I was told years ago that pineapple juice was good for settling that kind of pain and I have always found it helps – not that I need it these days LOL!
Well, this was meant to be a quick post! I going to hate it but I have to use the TD today – it’s not raining now but I know it will soon so no washing on the line today! We have wild boar sausages (oink, oink!) tonight with mash and beans and the rest of yesterday’s bread-and-butter pud to follow. Did a lot of cooking over the weekend so want an easy-but-still-MSE-day today! DS2 and his GF have invited us to dinner on Thursday and I said I’d bring the pudding so I need to look through my recipe file (well, I say ‘file’ – the wobbly pile of paper and cuttings on the kitchen table! Another job!)
Anyway, must go now – I want to get to the bank before the car park is full! See you all later and have a great day!
