@BartyBoy, I am sorry to hear that you have experienced a few issues with transactions being declined, I would be happy to take a look into your claims for you and advise regarding these. Could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with a few details regarding your transactions? I hope that I can be of assistance.

To Topcashback: I emailed the details to the email address that you provided on Monday last week, could you please give me an update about these declined cashback. Many thanks!
  • I actually feel a bit sorry for Samantha as she seems to be the only one who bothers to reply to forums and twitter etc.

First of all, I am still waiting for a response from TCB regarding an email that I sent a week ago. I checked my spam folder and the mail server's log, there is no sign of any incoming emails sent by TCB at all. I am getting very frustrated with the service here!

Secondly, to make me more 'p' off with the whole thing, I have just received a message from TCB saying a different merchant (Sportdirect) has also refused to pay my cashback. The excuse that I am given here is, 'Another marketing channel was credited with the sale'.

I did not use any other marketing channels to place this order. I simply clicked on the button on the TCB website and it diverted me to the sportdirect website. The rubbish TCB website even said the transaction was recorded, all I needed to do was to shop as normal. But in truth, the rubbish site did not track the transaction and I had to lodge a claim manually.

This is the fifth cashback that I am not receiving. It has come to the point that I have to accept the service from TCB is poo!

If there were really another marketing channel involved, the best thing to do is to prove it. Show me what other marketing channel I have used to make this purchase.

It really makes my blood boil here!

    Hi BartyBoy,

I have checked our inbox and can confirm that all emails have been replied to, I am not able to email a response without knowing which email that it relates to, could you kindly email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk so that I can take a look at this for you?

In regards to your claim, I am sorry that this has gone on to decline, when a sale is credited to another marketing channel, this does not mean that we are doubting that you clicked through via TopCashback but this means that if you have had any windows open alongside or prior to clicking through, your transaction could show as being referred by this party rather than ourselves. Unfortunately, we are not provided with any information to say who this is to pass on to yourself. Have you responded to your claim thread to see if there is anything that we can do to appeal this decision for you? Hopefully we can get this re-looked into.

    Best wishes,
    Samantha

To TCB: I have now re-sent the email that I sent you last week.

Regarding the other declined claim, there was no other browser windows opened apart from your website and Sportdirect. Like I said before, the best way to resolve this declined claim is to prove it to me what other marketing channel was involved.

As far as I am concerned each purchase/transaction has a unique order number, so I can't see why it is not possible to track down to the root and prove to me what other marketing channel was involved with this specific purchase causing the cashback to be declined.

As I said before, all these declined cashback are very suspicious to me!

That "another marketing channel" excuse is their favourite which is why i'm convinced they are pocketing the money. That excuse gets used too many times by them and they do trip themselves up by constantly using it. Go to trading standards mate they are very interested in TCB.

    Yay!
My TCB cashback from my March Sky subscription has paid today - was starting to worry after seeing some of the comments on here but looks like I didn't need to!
    Thanks TCB :)
