@BartyBoy, a 'bit suspicious' is an understatement.
Something is seriously not right there. No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -
Can anyone tell me if your topcashback account expires after a period of not logging in? I have an account with them that I have used extensively over a number of years (cleared over £1k in cashback) but have not logged into for a number of months due to being out of the country travelling. Just tried to get into my account and it's telling me my email address isn't registered?! This is despite TCB still using the same email address to email me with latest offers etc, what has happened to my account?!Hoping for a calmer year in 2012

On their website it says, members need to log in to the account at least once in 6 months. If you have left your account untouched for more 6 months, I would think TCB has suspended or closed the account for you. You will need to contact them to see if they can re-activate your account. Their customer service team is actually very good and helpful... hope this helps!0 -

There is definitely something seriously not right with the TCB side.
There was a note attached to my 3 hotel bookings saying...
"Please be aware that cashback will not progress with this merchant until after your stay has completed."
All these 3 bookings are for the Christmas and New Year break – still another 6 months to go – but the cashback has already been declined now...
So the question is, who declines the cashback and based on what?0 -
Another week and still nothing from Sky or Diredt line, as i said court action is now pending. I'll wait until the end of this week then sign the papers and proceed if nothing gets sorted. It's just plain taking the pee now well over a year for Direct line.0

Pop to your local county court and start a claim against Topcashback the end of the day it is their responsibility despite what they claim as they are the ones basically pointing us towards the merchants websites.0 -

It also took over a year for my Holiday Inn's cashback to process and in the end TCB told me Holiday Inn would not pay. Absolutely pathetic and a waste of time!0 -
Hi there,
@BartyBoy, I am sorry to hear that you have experienced a few issues with transactions being declined, I would be happy to take a look into your claims for you and advise regarding these. Could you email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with a few details regarding your transactions? I hope that I can be of assistance.
@aliogilvie, as BartyBoy said, if an account is not accessed at least once within a 6 month, this can become dormant, I would be happy to take a look into this and advise further on how to proceed. Could you also email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk with the email used to access your account?
@legendkiller2k8, hopefully there is some progression with these soon, we will continue to look into these on our side.
Kind regards,

Opened a FlexDirect account with Nationwide through topcashback at the end of May 2013 expecting to receive £65. The claim did not track so I opened a missing cashback claim on 5th June 2013.
Over a year later I am still waiting for an answer on whether I will receive my cashback, despite numerous messages reassuring they were actively chasing the 'network' to get a response.
I spoke with a member of their customer service team on Facebook on Friday morning and was assured that I would receive an update on my claim by Monday. I am still waiting and do not hold much hope to get a reply...
TopCashback is seriously going downhill... maybe its time to go back to Quidco.0 -
Still waiting on £21 cash back from Quotemehappy car insurance.
It is stuck on pending. It is 6 months now. You asked me to wait on the support ticket but I get the feeling you have now abandoned me along with thousands of other members.
I recently came to the end of my broadband contract with Sky and was looking to renew. With the problems you seem to have I decided there wasn't a chance in hell I was going to trust topcashback so I decided to try Quidco.
Now originally like many of TCB members, I came to you from Qco because of the problems they were having. But thought, what have I to lose.
I selected BT as the provider as there was a special £200 offer on for 24 hours to take just broadband and calls (£27.50 a month for 76mbs fibre and anytime UK calls 12 month contract - sweet deal). Anyway, about 5 minutes after signing on the dotted line with BT, the cash back tracked, and even better, another 8 minutes later, it went confirmed.
So the question I have to ask is this topcashback. What on earth do you think you are doing. What possible reason do I have to use you again. Why would a single one of the thousands of your members who are disgusted with your system, both tracking and support, want to order anything via TCB again ? Aren't you ashamed that you provide all those stock answers in all the previous posts ?
Read the forums on your own site. You are lambasted on there. And quite fairly too.
I have been a MSE member for some years and never have I seen a company so recommended by this site, so let both sites members down.
I call upon MSE to stop recommending topcashback and to alert people to the immense number of issues that TCB members are currently having. These include thousands of MSE members.
TCB - just think if I feel this way about £21, what do the many members you are beholding hundreds of pounds to, think of you.
Please consider that your site is only as strong as the support of its members. Currently that support is about to excavate the foundations.
One final point. As I have made you aware, I also lodged a formal complaint with trading standards. They admit to receiving quite a few complaints and once they reach their set level, they will investigate how you are paying cash back, and what happens,to missing cashback. Any other TCB members who feel they aren't likely to get their cashback should consider contacting their local trading standards. The more formal complaints they receive the more they will investigate and are more likely to prosecute for any wrongdoing they may find (if such exists ahem ahem)
Near enough 800 posts on here - makes you think doesn't it
P.S if you haven't used Quidco for some years people, they do seem to have sorted out all the problems and are definitely worth looking back at. Even if you split your cashback claims between them to improve the likelihood of some payouts.Freebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need. Pass on your good fortune :A0
