A decline today for "unauthorised voucher code used" after using the code advertised / supplied by TCB.
    Hi everyone,

@molerat - If this is the case I would advise you to reply back to the claim as there are processes in place should this happen.

Got a reply back offering me 50% as a goodwill gesture. Little choice I suppose.

    Hi everyone,

@redfox - If it doesn't track by you tomorrow can you drop me an email to mse@topcashback.co.uk? I'll take a look into it for you to see if a claim is required.

@molerat - Our team will make decisions due to the individual case of the claim, bearing in mind the wider fair play policy we have. If you do have any queries about their judgement please do let them know as I am sure they will be able to answer any queries you do have.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

Prices shouldn't really differ from cashback site to merchant, but sometimes do.
This time it seems an exclusive offer for the onward travel, basically free if you go direct.
    Do you need that?

A positive, AA and RAC for example are classed as financial purchases (breakdown cover). So any issues with late or declined cashback, then you could simply make a mis-selling complaint.
It's up to yourself whether you want an instant saving (onward included) or waiting for the cashback payment to make the policy cheaper.
Cashback can be slow, I've actually took out RAC cover via TCB quite a while back and I'll be chasing up at six months if I haven't been paid.

    Good luck.

EDIT: It may be Halloween soon, but spookily, not long after I posted this, my RAC transaction moved to confirmed. As a 'faster paying merchant', this should move to payable within two weeks. Spooky or what?

  • Hi all,

Earlier this year I booked a holiday through topcashack + Expedia, the reasoning being that topcashback has 13% cashback, which for my hotel was around £230, hence why I booked this hotel and used this deal.
Since getting back from holiday, the claim was submitted and has now been rejected. This is due to the fact they "can't track the sale from topcashback to Expedia", however, all other links I've used with Topcashback haven't auto-triggered the cashback, and I've had to submit claims, which have all been approved; except this one.

I can prove that I stayed at the hotel, booked it etc, but what's the best way about pursuing the missing cashback? I feel they aren't paying out due to the value of it, any advice is appreciated.

If you need further info, let me know - I have the chat transcript with them.

    Many thanks,

    Hi everyone,

@an1179 - I am afraid I can not give any advice in regards to the best deal. What I would advise is purchase what you would like to purchase and to always see cashback as a bonus as this can only be awarded once we are awarded it and it cannot be guaranteed as there are times we are not eligible for the funds.

@B_M - I am pleased to hear your RAC transaction has moved to confirm, as you say it is faster paying and so please let us know if it doesn't progress within the standard 14 days.

    HI Matt,

Been waiting for my pay out from free price compare, for switching gas and elec last year.

The transaction went confirmed and I have chased the actual payout as it is now overdue.

The response that I have received is as follows

"FreePriceCompare Energy have expired from site, an d when a merchant expired they do not always pass us all outstanding cashback. As this cashback has not been declined we are still hopeful of payment, however we cannot guarantee that we will receive this cashback."

Not quite sure what is meant by expired

What I find alarming is that they are still showing on your website, the only difference I can see is they are showing as a new merchant

RAC actually went to paid today. There are faster paying merchants, but I'm happy with this one. Cashed out and more than happy too to pay my £5 fee. ;)

You actually posted a separate thread and it's normally better on this thread. Looks like it's been merged anyway.
