    BS Omnishambles:

Their TCB page couldn't be clearer:

"British Seniors Over 50s Life Insurance Cashback is available through TopCashback on genuine, tracked transactions completed immediately and wholly online."

So you assemble your personal info and bank details, and click through.

The landing page forces you to give name, DoB, and a phone number (and even to disable your TPS spam call defence) before you can submit and go to the next page of the application form.

Except there IS no next page. There is NO online purchase route! They trick cashback referrals into accepting a creepy sales call. Where you will naturally get all the slimy upselling and manipulation that makes us all want to purchase online in the first place.

The 'next page' simply says "Thank you for your interest in British Seniors (suckers). A British Seniors consultant will call you shortly to provide you with a free, no-obligation quote and answer any questions you may have." A call which means no cashback.

Well, good luck with that boys. Whaddya reckon your chance of a sale is after that odious manoeuvre? Can't wait for your call.

So what is TCB's role in this mess? Do you check any deals you offer?

Can TCB obtain the 100% rate for SSE broadband? Maybe after the BT deal ends today?
£120 (plus top-up I'd imagine) for the top package - 'superfast and talk anytime'.

    Hello all,

I hope that you all enjoyed the weekend!

@lorrainp - Only the advertised offers are eligible for cashback, any alterations made to the package would cause this to be classed as ineligible. I am sorry this is not better news!

@yellow44 - Thank you for your feedback, we are passing all the feedback that we receive on the new layout to the relevant team so that this can be reviewed and we will be sure to take your thoughts on board here.

@Yorkshire Pud - I am sorry to hear these have not tracked for you, looking at the statistics for this merchant I am not able to see anything out of the ordinary, have you been using a PC or a mobile device?

For us to be able to look to get any untracked transactions tracking we do need to follow the claims process, the more information we can pass forward to the network the better which is why there are so many questions to be answered on the form.

I hope that you see the cashback for your Co-op transaction come through for you soon!

@woodface7 - I have passed this information on to our Sales Team to see if they can take a look into this, if this is the case then we can follow this up accordingly and thanks for highlighting this to us.

@B_M - Thanks, I have passed this forward to our Sales Team to take a look at!

@CHRISSYG - I am glad that this has now confirmed and hopefully it is not as many as 12 weeks before this becomes payable!

    Have a great evening!

    Best wishes,
    Samantha

Thank you Samantha, hopefully your sales Team can apply the leading industry rates for their members.
    Phone and broadband:
    • Everyday and talk weekend - £50 per package
    • Everyday and talk anytime - £70 per package
    • Superfast and talk weekend - £90 per package
    • Superfast and talk anytime - £120 per package

Fingers crossed you can get these rates 'Superfast' and not just 'anytime'.

well there's a surprise...made 2 transactions on the same day on eBay, approx 12 hrs apart....so far only one has tracked....in terms of amount of cashback...guess which one tracked?

that's right, the latter of the two, with cashback only valued at about 1\10th of the first one.....selective cashback awards?

    Hello everyone!

The little message you will be seeing is that we have recorded your visit, from there the cashback network tracks all the cookies. Therefore we can't say immediately whether or not a transaction has successfully tracked. In regards to the clicking the correct link, I would base this on the website you are viewing, as well as the device you use. For example a tablet would predominately show you the full desktop site.

The rates are all down to decisions by the merchants - for example at one point they may want more sales coming from existing customers therefore the commission rate would be higher.

@mamabuddah - As I am sure you are aware commission is paid to the last referrer. Therefore if you didn't clear cookies and cache between purchasing it wouldn't surprised me if the latter tracked but not the previous one. Even when using the same merchant it's advisable to clear cookies and cache etc to prevent this from happening.

I do hope this helps you both.

    Best wishes,
    Matt

@matt....you think I haven't heard all that garbage from TCB before?...Check how long I've been a member....and guess how often TCB have been posting their "get out " clause....

I'm curious to know who else acts as a referrer for eBay...any ideas?

Any purchase I make on eBay is through the eBay app, I don't visit through any other referrer....

Here's how it works...I go on my eBay app...I search for what I want...if I see something I want, I go through TCB and search and buy the item...enlighten me who could be a referrer?...Apple?

On checking the TCB site I can see the date and both actual times I made the transaction through TCB....any more suggestions Sherlock?

    You are doing it wrong.

Go through TCB and then run your searches.

I use Ebay a lot (not on a mobile mind) and how I do it is to boot my PC via USB key so it's a totally clean enviroment. I then click through and make a purchase.

After I have made my purchase, I close down the Ebay window and do a new click-through.

I'm afraid it sounds to me as if your ebay app is being seeing a last referrerer, probably Ebay sees your search an an internal referral.

If you do it my way, things will 99.9% track.
