I'm watching and LOVING Suits atm. I'd also echo Breaking Bad and probably Dexter as well.

DD watches Game of Thrones, she's coming up for 16 in a few months. Nudity and sex scenes don't especially bother me tbh and I feel shes sensible and mature enough to watch the program for what it is. I did have to stop her watching it at her Nans though....didn't go down well with her....:o

One of my teenage sons favourite ever TV Shows was a completely outstanding piece of television called "Generation Kill"

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0995832/?ref_=sr_1

It's based on Marines in Afghanistan, its touching yet funny in parts and is also loosely a true story. Its a one off, in 7 parts. Son has watched it about 5 times now.

Shallow Grave gave me nightmares and I was about 25 when I watched it, couldn't look at Christopher Ecclestone the same way ever again...

I am so glad I am not the only one who felt like that. Had to watch Shallow Grave gripping a huge cushion, so I could hide behind it. Yes I am the worlds biggest whimp :o

I would recommend 24, Ashes to Ashes and Spooks.

Castle & Bones are good, Hawaii 5-0, Six Feet Under has just started rerunning.

You could watch Lost still - the ending is rubbish it doesn't really matter if you know what it is, it's more interesting just to watch it for what's going on in each series.

    I recommend:
Breaking Bad - gritty, but suitable for most ages. Keeps gettng better.
Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse - if you like Joss Whedon's stuff.
Six Feet Under - quality drama.
Battlestar Galatica - the new series, but it seems to run out of ideas after the 2nd season.
Spiral (aka Engrenages) - good if he's learning French at school.
American Horror Story - a bit adult, but I reckon it sets a new standard for TV horror.
Being Human - high quality, witty supernatural drama.
The Fades - see Being Human.
Grimm - not as good as Buffy, but enjoyable.
Generation Kill - engrossing military drama.
Ultraviolet - short-lived british vampire series.
Oppenheimer, Edge of Darkness - these have aged very well.

Have you subscribed to netflix or love film? You can usually get a 30 day trial of them and have a look at what they've got.

Most of what I recommend is on Netflix as that's what we're currently subscribed to.

I know he said 'no' to Lost because he read the end, but it's still worth watching. We really enjoyed it.

Also CSI, CSI New York and CSI Miami (a bit cheesier than the others)
    NCIS
    Castle
    N3mbers (or is it Numb3rs)
    Jonathan Creek
Maybe try Poirot if he likes murder mysteries (I love em)
The 4400 (abducted people return with strange powers. quite watchable)
    Survivors
Warehouse 13. Don't be put off by the trailer. I was, as it was awful. Not great acting, but fun storylines

White collar is fab and so is Revenge. Definitely Big Bang Theory if you fancy a bit of comedy.
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j

"Covert Affairs" - a little like 24 with a female spy as the main character instead of Jack! You may like it a bit more than your son, but OH watched it with me occasionally.

A BIG YES TO BURN NOTICE

My husband and I are obsessed with this, gripping, smart, stuff blows up, it's witty, and totally suitable for a 13 year old

New series on BBC1 on Sunday night, 9pm 'The Village'

The events of the last century are charted by the impact they have on one family in a small village.

Written by Peter Moffat, and John Simm is in it, so it has a great pedigree.

We will definitely watch that and no DVD needed. I love a good BBC drama and have a secret crush on John Simm, such a good actor. Yet again I have never heard of it and rushed to iplayer thinking I could watch it tonight but it starts Easter Sunday. Thanks :)
