Cooked a fish curry last night then heard the awful news that was on. So upset - have son in forces - that I ended up chucking it in the bin. I know I could have saved it but wouldn't have enjoyed it so in the bin it went. Shocked, stunned and horrified at the events. His poor family.
Back to GC now and spent £21.88 in A!di so just £16.25 leftah well all things considered it doesn't seem that important at the moment. Have 3 chicken carcasses on the stove simmering for stock.

Billie-jo - feel for you hon xx Really awful events, couldn't bring myself to watch the tv news last night, just so depressing.
Thank you for the comments/views on the turkey mince. Had the last portion for lunch yesterday as it was lo - makes me gag just thinking about it, but I hate waste _pale_
£12.19 spent in Ts just now. Half sides of salmon are £5 so I got one of those to have next week.
Also had to bulk buy some fresh chicken for scout camp this weekend - Ts home delivery said it was oos and no alternative - really? no fresh chicken in the whole distribution centre? Anyway what with that and the birthday cake I was asked to get, it was a heavy walk home up the hill. Can you believe Ts don't supply cake bags either?
Only £67.70 to last until the end of the month. Won't do it (as 2nd purse needs paying tomorrow (£45 ish) but will hope for as close as possible to target

€3 on two boxes of potato waffles to add on. I've rediscovered them lately and have been having them quite often for lunch - makes a nice change from toast!
Sent out a few cvs this week and I not only got a couple of replies but I have an interview tomorrow! I'm both excited and terrified0 -

Hi all,
Hope you are all well? Just wanted to say that I currently do y weekly shop at Ald! And have spent on average £24pw for the last 4 weeks. I seem to have got myself into a nice little routine of meal planning and sticking to shopping list. Yesterday I went "off the shopping list" with 3 things and spent approximately £5 over budget and it STILL came to £24 for the week!
I am managing to pay off my credit card and other little bits of arrears and also save £80 per week for a car. I'm feeling quite proud of myself and that I'm finally getting somewhere financiallyPAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Good luck GreenFairy!
Another Costco shop has proved my undoing - £223/200 this month. I am however stocked up on squash for the next 6 months! It has been really eye opening keeping track of spending though, I knew we were spending a lot but couldn't tell how much due to bulk buying at Costco. And the last 2 months we haven't bought as much as we might usually.
Still, my spend has come down from last month (£256 in the end) so if I don't buy anything else this month it will be an improvement.0 -

I asked a day or so ago, and they just said to keep a look out on the page, but as of yet i have seen no mention of it!
£1.15 spend in C*-*p today, on YS bread; as DD had the last of the sliced bread for breakfast, which was meant to be for her tea, instead of cereal/pancakes/fruited bread!
Lovely tea tonight of Patak's Goan Hot and Sour (new, so fancied trying but not SW friendly) Prawns and rice ...pic to follow.

I have just done another Approved Food order, but as it isn't due til about the 30th May, i will add it to June's budget and not May's (which i am still in til 30th), as I can't physically consume it until June. I had £10.99 credit aswell, as I found a foreign object in a Bakin' Boy muffin, so the total has come to £13.94 after that. I could have just squeezed that onto this month, but want to keep the extra £13 or so for milk/bread, and any other supplies that are urgent before the end of the month.
I also have a Cloud 9 order coming on Saturday which will be about a tenner, but again i won't use this yet, so will add half to June and half to July, as i won't use the fabric conditioner until July. I have loads at the mo, but want to take advantage and stock up as she can only get to me about once every six weeks.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £85.95/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
