Not doing so bad this week. Running total is €568.16/€750 with 9 days to go!! Picked up a few bits in Mr T last night. Went in for potatoes and got 2 bags with yellow stickers plus lots of yellow sticker yums - 2 apple pies, cupcakes, apple turnovers, pancakes and a cake. Plus some full price yoghurts and full price box of cereal, it came to €11.86! The treats are nice and cheaper than they could be baked!0

Another €35-ish on cat litter and perishables. I'm squeaking rather close to my €300 budget! Bloody five week month *muttermutter*0

Meant to pop on Sunday night to update spends - have exactly £10 left to spend as my spends so far total £175 if I've added them up right! New budget begins Friday so don't see any problem with this as most I'll need before then is milk and salad.
Making cheese, onion & courgette pasties for dinner (was going to serve with beans but as it's so nice it'll be salad), tomorrow we're having arrabiata from the freezer with pasta and foccacia (also from freezer).
Then Friday we're having burgers (I'm trying out a falafel burger type thing and OH will have beef) with salad and chips, might need salad but have everything else. And on Sat we've been invited to dinner, will bring wine but that's out of our own spending moneyPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Spent £9.96 today on fish, juice, salad and crackers.
For lunch I used the last red pepper & tomato soup out of the freezer and for tea we had the lo chicken from Sunday in some risotto. Just enough chicken left for sandwiches tomorrow. This was followed by orange jelly and grapes - found the jelly down the back of a drawer and the date on it was 2009  Tasted ok to me.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

Oh dear I think I have got a bit lost, I am pretty certain I would be under budget if I don't count wine... but I don't have a separate budget for wine... so the conclusion is: I drink too much wine.
My month ends on Thursday so I think I might just call it a day for May and move over to June! I know I am spending less, and thinking more about what I spend, so that has to be good. Good luck for the end of May and see you all over in June! xx0 -
Quite a few updates from me after a busy week! I've updated my signature with the totals. We're still under our first months budget, but I'm a bit annoyed as it was all going so well and then I managed to spend far too much today by going to A*di's for the first time ever 'just to see what it was like'-silly me! Spent nearly £45 and then still needed to go to Mr Ts to get some extras-another £35. At least that included lots of toiletries that were on special offer so I stocked up and we now have a full fridge & cupboards! I think its cos my mum is visiting from Friday so had to get food in to feed her too so I went a bit crazy. The rest went on some naughty small shops the other half did so we could have a picnic on a day trip we went on on Sunday. Oh well, hopefully that's us done for the month now, under budget so I can reduce it easily for next month. Thanks to all on this thread-I don't think I would've tackled our food budget without it!0

I've failed badly this month coming in @ £285 out of £250. I didn't adjust my budget for the massive BBQ we hosted at the beginning of the month. Heading over to June now as payday on Friday and I am determined that next month will come in under budget!!!!0

£7.37 in co*tco yesterday - sig updated. DH loaded to trollie up with other rubbish, I gave him a look that said I am not paying for that and he held his hands up and said Don't worry I will pay for 'my' stuff. And blooming made him do it too!
Feeling a little bit smug, 15 days left and £119.98 still left to play with; having said the DH wants to have a BBQ BH weekend and Watford are playing ...
Pork Steaks topped with stuffing, mini roast potatos, cabbage & califlower for tea last night, left over pork went into todays sandwichs. It's not just the saving money I aim for, I really hate wasting food!!Christmas budget £266.38/£535 15/27gifts
