I have added up some receipts and I am over budget, but not by much. I think I will raise my budget next month to £220. Still really pleased with how much less we are spending.
Meal plan, days are flexible (lots of spice!):
Sesame peanut noodles
Southwestern Chopped Salad with Lime and Avocado dressing
Roasted Veg burritos
Hummus, pitta, salads
Tex-Mex Rice and Beans
Minestrone
Homemade pizza
I will need lots of coriander, some cherry tomatoes, tortillas and that is it until next Saturday. My challenge ends on Saturday as I get paid on Sunday.
Good luck everyone!Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

I didn't feel I was denying myself most of the time, but there were a couple of occasions where I wanted to just run amuck in the isles. I wont be doing a challenge next month as I get paid 4 weekly and eventually I will be too far ahead. I have plenty in my cupboards, fridge and freezer, I mainly need fresh produce next month. So good luck on next months challenge everyone. I will be lurking to read how everyone is doing. :hello:
Well done on your first, even though you are ahead I think its a good idea to still do the challenge, just change it to buying only fresh stuff.I often do this and stay in the challenge because it keeps me focused and if I didnt i think it would be very easy to slip back.Slimming World at target0 -

I agree with Meg, in fact you could just stay in May until the you get paid again (might get a bit lonely in here for the last few days if you're getting paid in 4 weeks though), move to June with the following pay and you're back in sync. I think you'll have an extra pay every year compared to those paid monthly, so you just need stay in one thread for two pays once every a year if that makes sense...Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Er, having found out I have gone over budget I just did an Approved Foods order....
Not much to interest me but they had tortilla wraps on offer and we get through a lot of them for the kids lunches and for some meals for us. Some lime chutney and mint chocolate got in too. I will see when it arrives!
I found it hard to find what I wanted, a bit like an online jumble sale! If you use cooking sauces and mixes I think it would be great.
I must go and do some work now!Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

I spent £4.22 cash from my May GC WK 3 allowance yesterday.
However I had some Sainsbobs gift cards - so used some for food and some for lovely items ready for my new kitchen. The charity shop will do well out of me as I replace my items.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Fruit & veg today costing £12.64 Noticed a couple of items had gone up since last week
but on the plus side watercress was 10p cheaper
No photo last night as only had beans on toast but then we really enjoyed them. It was one of those days when we didn't fancy what we were supposed to be having. I am sure we all have days like this :rotfl:

Afternoon All
Weekly shop last night was dash around Mr T while DD was at school disco and DS watched a bit of TV at home, so only required items made it into my trolley, although quite a lot of stuff as stocks were quite low. Had £7 off £60 voucher, so after that spent £64.27. Have updated signature. Quite well stocked now food and laundry/cleaning wise. Will want to get some toiletries and guineapig/garden bird stuff in before the end of this challenge month, plus two more weekly food shops of about £45 each before end of my month on 24th, so think I might keep to my reduced budget, just, fingers crossed.
Well done everyone, keep your eyes on the prize.
