    Hi everyone,

Welcome to lilmissdisorganised :D you are now on the list!

Small spend this afternoon in Ts. Needed some fresh salad, f&v plus some yoghurts for this week.

In the process of meal planning for the week and wondering whether it's worth a trip to A!di tomorrow for some things that I really like. I also have to factor in chubby club and a swim in the morning, plus pricing up a possible new gardening client in the afternoon (although I'm not that interested as I now have work coming out of my ears....) Really wish people wouldn't just randomly give out my mobile number thinking I need the work - sorry for going off topic :o

Dinner tonight was pulled pork in soft rolls, salad and coleslaw. I was good and didn't have a roll but oh my it was lush.

Off to update sig and plan plan plan.

    Have a good evening all

Had a Mr A delivery today, cost £45.24 including delivery at £4. bit annoyed as not only were the subs rubbish (put 2 back so will get £1.40 back), but they gave me 400g of fresh ginger instead of 100g and I didn't notice until the driver left! Will have to grate and freeze to avoid it going off.

Made butternut squash, feta and caramelised onion pie tonight with salad (I've made it before and the recipe's in the index).

    Hi Guys & Girls

I would like to join if I may ??

Theres only me, and 2 cats, but my shopping bills end up being ridiculous. I'm going away in 22 weeks, and need to lose weight and gain cash for it, so hopefully this will help with both.

I've been checking my receipts for what I have already spent this month, and its pathetic - I haven't even got through them all yet!

I'll set my spend for this month at £200 will normally be a lot less than this, but I've already spent too much!

I'll add my spends so far below, and update when I get in from work with the rest of the receipts.

I've just started back up with a head cold that I had rid of last week, so I haven't really felt like eating but have still managed to shop. Also, I work 12 hour shifts so really need a lot more organisation (as I have just learned from reading all the pages on this thread.

    Spends so Far

Cat Food & Litter (Cosc0) £29 (will last a good while)
Bits for Work/Home (lack of organisation) £29.17

I know there's actually more than that though!

Horrific I know, plus I don't think I could actually make anything to eat!

Spreadsheet is started for myself to keep up with everything.

I've added €20 to my total. Picked up some fruit and veg, onion rings, oven chips, tinned fruit, peanut butter and laundry liquid, as well as snack bits. I'm in the middle of my finals at uni so there are a few more convenience foods than usual around and lots of snacks - am living on tortilla chips and toast with assorted toppings.

Had a giant clear through the pantry again today. Gave up my tea towel drawer and now have a spice drawer (I use those red and white check lidded jam jars for spices, with a name sticker on the top) where I can see everything clearly and there's no more knocking bits over to get to the jars at the back. Discovered that I have a second jar of bay leaves, a tin of mustard powder and a small jar of allspice that I'd forgotten all about.

  • Hello everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Not been about much lately as unwell so not much happened here on the shopping front.

Only been in the shops twice since beginning of the month a few stock items bought as on good offers and £6 on loads of mini lollies in Waitrose (according to the till it should have been more but I pointed out the sign and they agreed it wasn't clear what was in the offer so they included all 4 packs in the 2 for £3 offer (I think two cute DS's looking disappointed also helped, lollies were a treat for them as they had been so good while at an appointment and it was a very hot afternoon!). :)

So £32.92 to add making £154.20 spend so far this month.

Taking it easy today as need the energy for doing a biggish shop tomorrow as will make the most of the offers now, and also includes meat which should last most of next month too.

Should mean enough left to just about be on target for this month and hopefully can keep next month lower as will already have good supplies in.

Off to finalise list and catch up on the threads.

    Take care

55.41 in albi this morn. So v v pleased with myself. Meals planned for remainibg 2 weeks of my month so will just need milk, bread fruit n veg next Monday. Will Ho to Mr t for the rest of my bits when I collect dd2 from pre school. Sadly I find I can't quite get everything in albi. Had to go to bank too so whilst there I went to £land and got some chedders, chewee bars and popcorn for lunchboxes so another 6.00 spent there. Then I accidently fell into greegs and bought a Belgium bun as reward for my efforts. Just enjoyed with a cuppa char!

I'm really enjoying the challenge this month. Dh doesn't really get it but then he doesn't do the meals etc lol! It makes me a bit sick to think of what we used to spend on food! X

I bought a red cabbage and used half of it for a coleslaw. I now have half a red cabbage in the fridge, but dont need it for this weeks meal plan.
Can i freeze it? If so, how?

I'eve spent well over half of my budget already and not even 2 weeks in :( Haven't managed to organise myself this month so no meal plans or anything done. We seem to have plenty of food in the house though so hopefully just fresh bits this week....
