hi I am making chilli here which smells nice and we are having rolled breast of lamb for tea. I got 3 of them reduced to a couple of quid in sainsbobs last week. I am planning to roast a turkey crown on sunday that we were going to have at Easter and then didnt

spent £12 this week on groceries and going for a £0 next week, we will see how that goes

    take care tessa
    onwards and upwards
  • This weeks seems to be on roll with NSD's, number 4 today!
(not counting lunch costs canteen as this is paid via deposit on staff card, and already accounted for that when I put it on card last month)

I had a big shop on Tuesday, was able to plan meals for rest of the week, and am hoping to only have a small shop this weekend.

Will have to top up my lunch card at work next week, but maybe it can wait another week. I have to check when the last time was, it would be great if I could restrict topping up to once every 4 weeks with £20, i.e. £5 a week. I normally try to combine buying food in canteen/bringing my own, but it depends on how organised I am in the morning!
It's a shame we are not allowed to have a toaster at work, it would make life so much easier just to have toast with cheese or something. I am a bit picky with bread, and don't really like bread that's a day old.....:p
Have tried using the bread machine timer, as I just love the smell of it when it's freshly baked, but find that a bit of a hassle on an early working day morning when still half asleep...I also tend to use my bread machine for kneading/proving only, I then make bread rolls or just use a bread tin so we have bread without the hole in it :)

And will use it tonight to make pizza dough, am already hungry thinking about it and just had lunch! (soup from canteen, HM bread taken from freezer this morning).

    Anyway, back to work :rotfl:

Spent £14.64 in Te$co today but with 342 and some vouchers only have £1.66 to add to GC

Hopefully there is a picture attached but if not will have another go later.

  • NSD for me! Well technically I bought a baked potato for lunch but I had credit with the sandwich/potato delivery van so no money left my purse! Off to OH's for weekend, and kids away too so a cheap couple of days I hope! Have a good weekend everyone! x
